    I agree with that. But he is by far and away our best leadoff hitter, and our team is best with him hitting 1st. Our problem is that we have 2 hitters who excel in the 2 slot. I almost look at it as Pedroia and Crawford being 2a and 2b. I just think having those 3 hitters really sets the table well, and there will be plenty of first innings when you have a couple RISP before Gonzo even gets to the plate.

    Aceves is making the most out of this opportunity. As a SP:2 GS, 11 IP, 1.64 ERA. Obviously a small sample size, but we may have struck absolute gold with this guy.

    Good thing about this game - We're wearing out one of their LH relief pitchers. After throwing this much, he won't be available later in the series, which could be a big advantage to us in close games late in the game.

    Yeah but think about how often he's going to be hitting with Gonzo, Youk, or Ortiz on 1st base. Any walk or single is going to stop him up. No chance he runs more in the 6 hole than in the 2 or 3 hole.
