  1. God all Lowrie does is pop up anymore. It's getting pathetic. From 4/29 - Yesterday, he's hitting .228 with a .619 OPS. That's ridiculous.
  2. Lowrie needs to get hot again.
  3. I just want to see the kid do good, obviously he was brought up through our system. It's ok to have an interest in players who don't play for the Sox, ya know.
  4. How about a little 7 inning, 2 ER performance from Lackey tonight? I can deal with that! Lets extend this winning streak to 8, and make it the longest this season!
  5. Same thing for Beltran, but even less expected in return, ESPECIALLY because Beltran isn't projected to be a Type A or B FA next year, so there will be no draft pick compensation for him. I think the Mets are still quietly debating whether or not to re-sign Reyes, but Beltran is as good as gone. They're paying him a lot of money, and when he signs elsewhere this offseason, he's not going to give the Mets anything in return, so they might as well go for a B level prospect and eat most (if not all) of the salary, or go for a C level prospect with some upside, and get some salary relief.
  6. Don't even put those thoughts in my head. I'm already working out a trade on MLB The Show
  7. Lowrie is hitting .238/.299/.344 from April 29 through Yesterday. I wouldn't really say that Lowrie is hitting either. And it's not just a 60 AB span, that's a substantial portion of this season.
  8. That'll do it. That ties our win streak for this season at 7 wins. We're 8-1 now in June. Ha. And we thought May was good.
  9. This month he's got 11 RBI in 8 games. That's on track for 34 this month (25 games). That's ridiculous
  10. Wow. I was just about to say "I want to see a Youk walk then a Papi Grand Slam"
  11. Gonzo with another RBI. That's 57 on the season. Ridiculous.
  12. I think the market for Reyes is going to be twice that of Beltran. We can probably steal Beltran for next to nothing, but Reyes would require some decent prospects and a bit of a bidding war.
  13. Yup he did. Little 2 out RBI single. Vandy now up 4-0 in the bottom of the 1st. Even if you don't cheer for Vandy, at least everyone here kind of has a tie to the team, so when they make it to Omaha you've got a team to follow.
  14. No way, Gonzo drove in another run.....Does this guy do anything else??
  15. Yaz with a little RBI Single, puts Vandy up 1-0 in game 1 of the Super Regionals.
  16. Mike Yaz up for Vandy right now, in case anyone wants to see Yaz's grandson play. It's on ESPN U.
  17. Vandy vs Oregon State in the Super Regionals on ESPN U tonight. I believe Sonny Gray should be on the bump tonight for the Dores, and they had 12 players get drafted during this year's draft, an SEC record
  18. When did all of you guys get a life?
  19. WTF. How is this board so dead?!?
  20. The Jays can't hit as well when they're not cheating by picking up signs with nobody on base.
  21. Yeah we got to him early and often last time we faced him. I have a feeling this series is going to be all about our pitching because I think our bats may be a little dead after the big series in NY as well as the late finish and long travel day. Hopefully Buch can carry us tonight.
  22. I didn't either. Actually I tried to once when I was a kid. My buddy pitched one of those small basketballs to me and I swung as hard as I could. Bat hit the ball, bounced back, and blasted me in the face. A broken, bloody nose later, I learned that no, you can't hit a basketball that hard. :thumbdown
