  1. LMAO @ referencing a stat line that includes seasons starting at 20. But no, his 2009-2010 line of .306/.360/.474/.834 is way too relevant. We definitely should use his career numbers because what a player does at 20, 21, and 22 (.283/.315/.400/.715) is so significant. It's a shame that players don't mature as hitters. Oh, wait....
  2. Someone needs to explain to me how that pitch was any different than the one that Pedroia got rung up on.
  3. When you combine it with the ball that hit the wall on Pedroia's hit yesterday, the RBI that got taken away from Pedroia in Seattle (albeit, the right call was made, but you shouldn't be able to reverse the call like that), a couple DP's that were missed, it all comes to a boil. Seems like the Sox can't hit right now, and can't catch a break either.
  4. Jesus Christ. Can't even score after a leadoff triple. This is infuriating.
  5. oh my God. This is ridiculous.
  6. Love getting ripped in big situations by the umpires. So much fun
  7. I wonder if Crawford is a little more injured than he's letting on.
  8. Atta boy Ellsbury!!!!!!
  9. I'm really disappointed. I thought that the NYY series was going to give Crawford a lift. He went 9/12 and he was 3/3 against CC. But alas, he's reverted to his April production over the past couple of series. The worst part is that he could step it up and carry this team in a time that they desperately need it.
  10. WTF happened to our f***ing offense? This is pathetic.
  11. Pedroia = Defensive clinic.
  12. Not as amazing as judging a player by 300 AB and neglecting to even take into consideration the 2,000 AB before that.
  13. Dude. Talent always dries up when players turn 29. :dunno: Wonder of Dr. Stem Cells took some of Crawfords cells and put them in Colon's elbow. Wait. Nope. That's just HGH in Colon's elbow. Not even sure if we can confirm any stem cells were implanted.
  14. It's either his elbow or his vagina. Not sure yet. Doing an MRI after the game. Joking. I'm the biggest Crawford supporter there is.
  15. This offense has been awfully quiet over the past few games.
  16. Every single swing that Crawford takes looks like an 0-2 protective, defensive swing. It's like he's scared to try to drive the ball. His confidence has got to be at an absolute all time low right now, and it's showing up in his swing big time.
  17. What about a game where we tight?
  18. We lead the AL with 110. St. Louis is 1st overall with 133.
  19. Wow. Youk has been so bad lately. Since the ASB he's hitting .208, his BA has dropped 22 points and his OPS has dropped 38 points. He's having a really weird season. Who would have ever thought he would be hitting .266 in August. I wonder if the move to 3B has something to do with this.
  20. Of course it's an overreaction! It's a game thread. But seriously. Lowrie's defense has putrid this game.
  21. f*** Lowrie. He's a piece of s***.
