  1. Here's something that will cheer you up. If you can't laugh at this, you have no pulse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77fM_9w7mBU Manny being Manny
  2. You're calling our closer a non-factor? That's pretty ridiculous.
  3. It's time. It really is time. If this team is going to win this year, they need to win with youngsters. Bring up Lavarnway, this team would have won this game in the 9th if Salty could catch a freaking pop up. Bring up Iglesias. This pitching needs all the defensive help it can get, although the bullpen has been an absolute Jekyll and Hyde situation. But go ahead and get rid of Darnell. He's not a very good player. Stick Aviles out in LF. Platoon Ross and Sweeney in RF. Ross struck out FIVE times today. He can't hit RHP, and K's over 30% of the time. This team has GOT to shake things up. Absolutely has to. Trade Salty for whatever you can get. DFA DMac. Bring up Lavarnway. Bring up Iglesias (who, by the way, has figured something out, hitting .571, 1.433 OPS in May, and is hitting .282, .708 OPS in his past 10 games). As Jung said, you get a very solid arm out in LF with Aviles. You have Byrd in CF. And you have Sweeney/Ross which is actually a fantastic platoon. That should be step 1 in fixing this team.
  4. Well, they were swept by the O's at Baltimore 4/30 - 5/2 in 2010 to put them at 11-14. Funny, this Sox team has started 11-14 for the past 3 seasons. Anyway, in 2010, after the Baltimore sweep, they went 38-18 (.679) over the next 56 games. Something always clicks with this team around this time. They started 11-14 in 2010 They started 11-15 in 2011 They started 11-16 in 2012 They've recovered the past 2 seasons. Not sure if they'll recover this season, but at least there's a bit of a precedent.
  5. Gonzo is OPS'ing .701 right now. He struck out to Chris Davis. He's all kinds of wrong right now. 17% of the season has come and gone, and the Red Sox are 11-16. A lot of it can be attributed to Gonzalez. In a time where this team needs someone, anyone, to step up Adrian Gonzalez is struggling as bad or worse than he has over any 27 game stretch in a Red Sox uniform. He's not driving the ball at all. He's got 8 XBH, and he's slugging .402.
  6. BobbyV looked like he was about to cry. And I don't blame him. Adrian Gonzalez struck out to Chris Davis. Are you f***ing kidding me?!?! Chris Davis threw 2 innings of shut out baseball against the Red Sox. Clay Buchholz threw 3.2 IP of 5 ER baseball against the Orioles. That's abysmal.
  7. Guess what. This team was at least 12-15 this time last year. So that horrid start last year, where nothing could go right for the Red Sox and everyone said "Well we can't start that bad again. Well we did. Only worse. This team is pathetic.
  8. this team is a complete f***ing joke. It really is.
  9. This really f***ing blows. It's retarded that they couldn't score against Chris Davis pitching. It really is.
  10. Yeah man. Morales couldn't have thrown over a couple times I guess.
  11. Yup. Not much else you can say.
  12. If there has ever been a player due to go yard, it's this guy.
  13. Walk here so Gonzo can win it.
  14. Wow. How about a threat at least?
  15. SCORE SOME BLEEPING RUNS!!!!!!! Well, just 1.
  16. Thanks. I'll ask more often now.
  17. Need a DP ball right here.
  18. Speaking of, he's hitting .333 with a .956 OPS this season.
  19. WMB can do no wrong apparently. I'm a huge, huge fan, but he's gotta be on 2B right now. At least he'll be off and running here. May not hurt so bad.
