    It sucks losing, but what sucks even more is watching the team have zero fight in them today. They've played so well lately, it's like they all just gave themselves the day off because they already won the series. Then Bard came out and had diarrhea running down his legs from the get go, and that only compounded things. Just a frustrating showing all around from this team today, outside of the bullpen. Gonzo had a great opportunity to get us close, and, as usual, he got sawed off.

    Yeah well, 8 free passes in 13 batters faced will do that to you. Bard doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the MLB mound right now. He needs to get his ass to AAA and figure his s*** out. Bring in DiceK to replace him. Send Bard back to the bullpen in AAA. Get his velocity back up and his control. Then bring him back up.

    I was just thinking the same thing - This is from ESPN Fantasy News. Cook (knee) threw a bullpen session Thursday, the Red Sox' official site reports. Spin: If he comes out of the session without a problem, the Red Sox will put him on a pitching program, according to manager Bobby Valentine.

    He's allowed 1 ER in his last 10.1 IP (2 outings). He's not very efficient, but he's probably a better option than Bard right now.
