Bob Diamond the current President of Barclays He's not got any personal wealth according for Forbes, so why would a bank be buying a football club? or is John Henry brokering a deal for Bob Diamond who is brokering a deal for somebody else? Technically its a conflict of interest seeing as the bank he heads is the main sponsor of the league As usual rules will have to be changed for LFC

A very important point that seems to be being overlooked is the fact that the present owners have decided not to sell. The statements about a deal with JH being made by the 'Board' are no more than a PR stunt. JH has indeed issued a statement saying he is interested in buying LFC, but until the owners decide to sell this is all pie in the sky talk
