  1. From this latest round of comments I think Ive deduced how the 'World Series' works. 1) There are 2 leagues: a Western and an Eastern league 2) The top 2 from each league progress to a semi-final stage where they play each other 7 times 3) The team with the most games won from the 7 from each semi contests the World Series? Can someone correct me if thats wrong?
  2. Once the furore has died down, I intend on sticking around(a bit) to learn about baseball and your historic team - more than welcome here to do likewise: http://scouse.forum-gratuiti.com/liverpool-fc-f1/
  3. Excellent knowledge, right down to Man City. Nice one And soccer is an English word anyway
  4. Fair play, got a lot of time for Arsenal. Not so much Wenger these days though, always whinging. He knows how to play football though
  5. Actually my knowledge of 'football' isnt too shaky but point taken. The most I know about baseball is the basics - strikes, balls and outs etc. God bless http://www.sticksports.co.uk
  6. Incorrect - the sale can be forced by a majority vote in favour, hence Hicks' attempts to have Ayres and Purslow sacked and replaced by his son and one of his lackeys.
  7. I'll be honest, and Ive had a look around at other topics. To say they go over my head is to put it mildly. My knowledge is baseball is limited - the only thing Ive ever played thats anything like is softball
  8. Easy Slash bud, remember we are guests here
  9. As I was not alive at the time of the Heysel disaster, I cannot answer you there - I instead put you in the direction of my esteemed and knowledgable fellow Reds fans who would be glad to put you straight on that one. As for us 'pulling the rug out from under the feet of' Boston Red Sox, I imagine that John W. Henry himself would freely admit that if he were not capable of managing both ventures successfully and without bias he would not have put forward a bid.
  10. Frankly if we were to apologise for every troll and malcontent from down the East Lancs we'd interrupt this forum more than we already have
  11. Please reds, lets show some decorum eh? The trolls are attempting to push buttons and by all accounts are succeeding. Swearing at them pleases them for some reason. Sarcasm is a much better tool
  12. Whats the weather like in Manchester?
  13. You sir, and I believe this is the correct term, are a douche.
  14. And Lerner, Kroenker and Short are all extremely good owners. Mes amis ? la United-Estats, you have all been brilliantly helpful in enlightening us poor old Liverpool fans on the man who will hopefully be our new owner in a few weeks.
