Red Sox exercised DH David Ortiz's $12.5 million option for 2011. Makes sense. Ortiz was hoping to negotiate a multi-year contract, but Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein is smarter than that. The 34-year-old batted .270/.370/.529 with 32 homers, 102 RBI and an 899 OPS this season. If he could repeat those numbers around a healthier supporting cast in 2011, the Red Sox would be thrilled

i never said they were bad,im just saying you would think he would want to go somewhere that has a better shot of making a Superbowl run,titans are not one of those teams IMO,the colts will win the division and pats/jets/steelers/ravens are going to get there respect division and the 2 wild card spots

it seems like more and more that he wants to come back to NE,i would bring him in if he shuts the f*** up and plays the game and helps bring a Ring back to Ne this year,and don't re-sign him next year ,but alot of people are saying the rams and dolphins ,lets be real people rams are good but i cant see them getting to the Superbowl, and moss has too much respect for Ne to go play for dolphins or even the Jets ,a hour left in till 4 so we shall see then

Citing a source close to Randy Moss, Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that Moss would be willing to sit out the remainder of the season if he dislikes the team that claims him off waivers. Moss reportedly "wants a ring" from the team that claims him. Moss' agent, Joel Segal, has likely made the receiver's feelings known throughout the league. Obviously, it's going to be a prohibitive factor for less competitive clubs. According to Rapoport, Moss visited the Jets' facility on Tuesday because "He sees their potential and realizes their lack of deep threat." Moss apparently isn't a big Braylon Edwards fan. For what it's worth, Bodog.com has the Rams as the favorites for Moss at 7/2. He'll be officially claimed at 4ET.

Royals ace Zack Greinke apparently doesn't like the Big Apple. People close to the hurler tell SI's Jon Heyman that there is no chance he would accept a trade to New York, according to a recent Twitter post by the baseball insider. The tweet doesn't say which New York team the ace would deny. The ace went 10-14 with a 4.17 ERA in 2010 -- a far cry from his 16-8 record and league-best 2.16 ERA that he posted during his Cy Young season just two summers ago. As per his partial trade clause, Greinke will hand the Royals a list of eight to 10 teams after the 2010 World Series to which he will not approve a trade.

emmz i hope you are not trying say the pats are going to do what min did 2003-2004? the thing is we have a top 2 qb in the nfl and the best coach and the jets did not destroy us in that game , if brady did not keep looking to throw deep to moss every f***ing playing in the 2nd half we would made the game close or won it

Sports' Michael Silver reports that Randy Moss' "boorish" behavior in a locker room incident last Friday contributed to the Vikings' decision to cut him loose. A favorite local restaurant catered the Vikings' buffet Friday. Moss went up to the table and yelled, "What the [expletive]? Who ordered this crap? I wouldn't feed this to my dog!" Per the St. Paul Pioneer-Press, the room got quite except for one player who said, "Shut the (expletive) up, Randy." Brett Favre even shot Moss the stink eye. The Vikes also had concerns about Moss' poisonous attitude rubbing off on Percy Harvin. Coach Brad Childress reportedly explained, "This just doesn't fit with how we treat people, how we talk to people and how we act."
