  1. B.J made that one close.
  2. I do too. He really is good. But, you have to give it to Middlebrooks; not many rookies pack a legends bag out of town like he did.
  3. If there wasn't so many good rookies this year, I would say will Middlebrooks would have a good shot at win rookie of the year.
  4. Yeah, I guess there are more late comers then most clubs have. Every time I go I notice people getting there in the 5th and 6th. I think the drive excuse is retarded though if that's where this is headed. It takes me 30 min to get there from the Tampa Bay Airport area (Town & Country).
  5. I don't think we are going to get many runs against Price. He is one hell of a pitcher.
  6. I hate to milk a dry cow. But, is anyone else surprised by how many empty seats there are tonight? My god, it’s a Saturday night and a good match-up.
  7. Come on guys. We need to get to Price early.
  8. When you start doing that, it’s usually in your head. When Gonzo starts to walk more, then we will see him hit the ball better.
  9. Nava is probably going to get sent back down. The kids, unless they do like Middlebrooks did, are going to start to get sent down to Pawtuckett when the Sox get healthy again.
  10. I enjoyed reading that articular. Although, I do disagree with some of the things the writer says. I don't think Bobby should get fire, I think the pitching coach should. It isn't Bobby's fault the pitchers give up a lot of runs; he isn't the guy teaching them how to pitch. I like the Juston Upton trade though. I've wanted him on this team for a while. But, the problem is, we still go know where at the position of SS. The FO shouldn’t have traded two decent SS this off-season. That was just stupid. Mike isn’t an everyday player. He is someone who you plug in there to smash lefties.
  11. I like Ross, but I like Sweeney more. If you can use him (along with others in a trade) to get a good starter, then I would do it.
  12. If the Red Sox get rid of Beckett, then they better get rid of the entire contract that is due to him. I mean an entire salary dump. It’s not worth while in my opinion if you can’t do that. They aren't getting anyone for him, so you might as well clear cap room for next year.
  13. With that pitching rotation, they could win their division.
  14. I think whoever did that was just dicking around.
  15. I guess one would have to find that out when talking to the Phillies. Is this going to be a rental, or is this going to be long term.
  16. I would be hesitant to go after Hamels. It is our luck to give the Phillies a lot of prospects, and then have him go back to Philly when he hits free agency.
  17. You know that they aren't going to get anyone for Beckett? It's going to be like the Youk trade. Basically a salary dump. You might as well keep him.
  18. I don’t think they are going to be sellers due to the fact that they are close to the wild-card spot and they are going to be getting guys back. What do you guys think?
  19. Being at .500 is atrocious for a team with this many stars on it. I think giving this team a C is being a little generous. But, since they are only two games back from the wild-card spot and they have had the most injuries in the Majors, a C is what they get from me.
  20. I think Bobby Valentine's observation was correct. When Kevin was in Boston his head wasn't in the game. Now he's in the right mindset in Chicago and he is hitting like he used to hit.
  21. I wonder if he botches everything outside of baseball too. "sorry hunny, I didn't mean to miss-fondle your boobs".
