  1. What are you seeing that is indicating that Jackie is ready for The Show? He had a good ST, last season. Then when given a shot, he quickly showed us he wasn't quite ready. This spring, he still isn't showing us he's there yet. His numbers aren't justify his trip to the starting line-up.
  2. I don’t know about you guys. But, I’m not seeing anything that would justify giving J.B.J. the starting job. Right now, these are his numbers: .182 (BA), .270 (OBP), .303 (SLG), .573 (OPS). Grady Sizemore is having the better spring. Here are his numbers: .381(BA), .409 (OBP), .429 (SLG), .838 (OPS). How can you not give Grady a shot after what he’s been doing so far? He has been producing numbers that he hasn’t done since he was a Cleveland Indian.
  3. I went to go see them for the first spring training game yesterday. The pitchers struck out the Twins betters a lot. That's a good sign. I believe I wrote 13 times on my scorecard.
  4. Well...he did stink like a dumpster at times, last season. As a person, I love the guy. But, he just wasn't worth the money the Sox payed him.
  5. That's a good question. If they had that kind of money back in the beginning of the offseason, they vary well could have used that to get Ells back.
  6. Leave it up to the old fart to set everyone straight.
  7. I don't get what some of you guy's problem is. The guy is doing the Red Sox a huge favor. Would you rather have Dempster go out there, not with his head in the game, and play bad while collecting 13 million? He knows he doesn't have what it takes to play a season, so he is sitting out. I applaud the guy for doing so.
  8. My problem with Stephen Drew is he wants a multiyear deal. Which means, that it's going to not only clogged up SS this year, but years to come.
  9. I'd be fine with that. Minor League deals aren't going to hurt.
  10. They shouldn't spend the money they saved. Having this money will give them flexibility at the trade deadline. They don't need a pitcher, they've got plentiful and signing Drew will just prevent our top prospect from playing.
  11. I wish I could say I remember anything bout that series. But, I was still sperm. I was born in 89.
  12. That's what I was thinking. I just don't like handing the keys to center-field without a backup. Last year, makes me nervous. He started out very strong. But, he kinda faded after a while. I do like his potential though.
  13. Me too. I think it is smart to have a plan B. Just incase JBJ doesn't work.
  14. Meanwhile, the Red Sox are making smart signings. They just signed Grady Sizemore for one year six million.
  15. If JBJ doesn't do well, we have a center fielder playing right. All they have to do is play Nava and Gomes in the corner outfield positions. We don't need to overpay for talent like the Yankees.
  16. +1 The only idiot on here is me. Rjortiz is far from an idiot.
  17. I just read that Elsbury is going to be making more than Dustin and Ortiz combined.
  18. Nothing! They've over spent on offense. Apparently they didn't see what won the Red Sox the World Series, pitching.
  19. Wow....I thought the Yankees are cutting payroll? They're spending money like crazy.
  20. I kinda like this deal. If we bring back Nap, the Red Sox with have some pop in their lineup.
  21. David! David! David! David! David! David!
  22. They did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
