    Yeah, but I wouldn't count last year and this year we can still fix the closer problem. Name me every closer you think is better than Pap or has potential to be a good closer, and lets compare contracts.

    Trust me I see the numbers, they're great but that contract isn't. There's a solution, sadly Hanrahan isn't. The Phillies are irrelavant anyways so I don't care what Pap does now. They won't even win the wildcard. Just cause Hanrahan isn't working, doesn't mean Pap was the answer. We have other options but they haven't been used. No one said it was easy, but he can be replaced. Lets not act like Papelbon is a god.

    You could say that Papelbon is the best closer in Red Sox history. Can you say that he deserve that monster contract? We're talking about a bullpen arm, not a starting pitcher. I can only see Rivera getting a contract like that.
