If you didn't see Ryan Howard get ejected a couple of nights ago, I think it perfectly illustrates a700's point. The 3rd base ump was staring down Howard the entire at bat and then wasted no time to eject him. Here's the video: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=11346569

^^ C'mon man, English. Otherwise, I agree with Jacko that Werth would be a beast at Fenway. He definitely would be a solid addition to the team. I think Beltre is likely gone after this season, which I think might work out OK, with VMart/Youk on the corners, Salty behind the plate. Not sure about all this Iannetta talk. As much as I like Crawford, I'm doubtful on the Sox picking him up. Save that coin, put it in the bullpen and possibly in a savings account for AGonz in 2011. Heh heh. Drew? Leave him alone. I like the guy, IMHO he's one of the better AL right fielders in the game. Can anybody refresh me on our contracts with Beckett and Dice? I'd like to see a SP in the offseason mix too, although I'm not sure that's on Theo's radar, and I have no idea what our commitments to Beckett and Dice are and how that all plays out. -

Thought Lackey had a fantastic game. So he gave a homer up off the hottest HR hitter in the game. Look past that and let Lackey finish the game. If he didn't put away the next batter or two, THEN bring in Paps. So yea, I think it was a bad decision, especially with Paplebon's inconsistency. But make no mistake, this loss is 100% on PAPS.

Put a price on versatility. The guy can play just about anywhere, provides nice pop at the plate and has a wicked arm. Hard pressed to think of a reason to let go of a guy like that, unless of course, his asking price is too high.

The 7 hole is where bats go to die. Peddy is a spark, should stay up front. All this aside, do we even stand a chance on getting Crawford AND AGonz in the offseason? Seems pretty far-fetched. And are we so certain that Beltre is 1 and done? Hmmm...
