  2. Yeah, but keep in mind that youker is never going to vote, and very often people don't bother to come on and vote. jbay44 hasn't voted in any matchups either. It took over a day to get enough votes If you guys want for the next round I'll make it that you can't vote for yourself, but for this round you can WB advances
  3. 3-1 WB, continue to vote guys
  4. I think before we do power rankings we should have a thread where every team can post a paragraph on why they think their team is good, so that everyone can make a point to other teams before we vote on power rankings. A bad power ranking because somebody didn't realize your team was as good as it really is could screw you in the first round of the playoffs
  5. Center: Okay, I understand there are no injuries, but injury or no injury, I'll take Bogut over Bynum anyday. Bogut is a monster on the boards and on D, he has averaged 2.5+ blocks/game this year and last. Bynum might be a little better on the offensive end, but not a very significant degree. And then JJ Hickson is developing into a star. I take WB for center PF: Josh Smith is one of the better power forwards in the league and is a monster on the defensive end, he racks up blocks like anything. Love is developing into a star as well, his 30/30 game on my Knicks was pretty impressive, so I think they average each other out. Paul Millsap has been great over the last couple of years, and has been playing great so far this year too though, but Beasley is developing into a great player as well. There is so much talent on both teams at this position, so I think they average out. Push for PF SF: LeBron is the most complete player in the NBA, but Durant isn't far behind. Durant is already a better shooter, but LeBron is better at the other things, and 3 years from now his edge on Durant will be minimal, if not gone. I love Luol Deng though, and as a result I give SF to CoCo SG: Monta Ellis is explosive, but he is a very one dimensional player, and I think he will continue to be one dimensional 3 years from now. Manu is aging, but 3 years from now I would still think he is as good as Ellis, because he is a great shooter and plays nice defense. Kevin Martin is very talented, but three years from now I think Evan Turner will be as good. SG is a push PG: Stuckey is pretty good, but now that he is a starter, Darren Collison is playing great. And with Devin Harris off the bench, WB has two great young point guards splitting time, and I would take both of them over Stuckey and Calderon. PG to WB Overall, it was pretty close, but I think WB has a better team, and also a more balanced one, as almost all of his players play well on both ends of the floor

  7. I'll take my team here, but honestly, the only top 50 player in the NBA I see on youker's team 3 years from now is Kobe, and I honestly think Brandon Roy will be about as good as Kobe three years from now And he has a decent frontcourt with Blatche/Cousins, but my backcourt would destroy his, CP3 vs. Teague and Iggy vs Terrence Williams

  9. Boston advances
  10. Boston still hasn't voted for himself...if he had he would have won by now 3-2 him so far
  11. What were the rest of the ranks? I'm assuming WB, you, me, jbay44, and Kilo are 1-5, but I don't know in what order Also, I want people's opinion on this issue: should people be allowed to vote for themselves?
  12. It doesn't make a difference though. I'm just going to automatically assume that people are going to vote for themselves, so it crosses out. Basically you get rewarded for being responsible enough for checking this thread and making an argument towards other teams as to why you should win
  13. Look, everybody is going to vote for themselves, so basically both teams are going to get one vote automatically, it crosses out, so it doesn't matter
  14. I like boston's team better here. While I feel like he has some players a little out of position, Curry is more of a 1 and JJ is more of a 2, and Jared Jeffries at PG is retarded considering that he's a 6'11" PF/C, the fact is that his team is incredibly talented. I like Bosh and Kaman going up against Jefferson and Lopez, I think Lopez and Jefferson would get dominated defensively. And Derrick Rose is developing into one of the best guards in the league. Jacoby has some nice defensive pieces on his bench, but I still like boston's team here

  16. YanksHater advances to play ital next round
  17. I went by position, but I although Lee is a better player than Chandler IMO, and Amare is better than Aldridge, I gave you those matchups because of how I think the players would work head to head and with the team The thing is though, its hard to predict chemistry on a team you will never actually see play
  18. I'm going to go position by position PG: Russell Westbrook is already one of the best point guards in the league, and he's only going to get better from here. Brooks is pretty good, Westbrook is in a tier with guys like Rondo and Rose and Brooks in a tier with guys like Jennings and Harris. Neither Nate Robinson or Jerryd Bayless will be impact players. I like YH213 at PG SG: Demar DeRozan has some nice offensive upside, but not much other than that, and I'm not too big on Courtney Lee either. I like Stephen Jackson, he's a pretty complete player and knows how to get to the bucket, and Barbosa and Smith are solid scorers as well. I like RSFFL at SG SF: Danny Granger will probably be a top 5 offensive player in the game 3 years from now, and Melo will be on the borderline of that too. Right now Melo is a more complete player, but I honestly think Granger will have developed into a more complete player 3 years from now and will be better than Melo. I think Martell Webster and Ryan Gomes give YanksHater slightly better depth over Jared Dudley as well, I'll take YH213 at SF PF: Amare Stoudamire is a very big name, but even as a Knicks fan I think he is a little overrated. There is no question that he can get to the bucket, but he is not a dominant rebounder, he is not a dominant defender, and he could work on decreasing the turnovers too. LaMarcus Aldridge is by no means a dominant defender, but I think 3 years from now he will have a very similar skillset to Amare. Verajao is a dominant defender, and Anthony Randolph hasn't proved anything yet. I'll take YH213 at PF C: I feel like David Lee is undersized and will be outmatched by Tyson Chandler at center, even though Lee might be the better player. I also love Bargnani off the bench. YH213 at center Overall, I think YH213 has built a better team, and while RSFFL might have some better players right now, when you look at head to head matchups YH213's team would win in a playoff series

  20. Honestly, I like Brook over Bynum injury or no injury CoCo advances to play WhiskeyBreath next round Next matchup going up
  21. That would be cool, I'd be interested to know. But be sure to mention the rule variations in this league I feel like unlike the baseball matchups, where more is cut and dry with stats, these are way more up to opinion A mistake flynnatic made that probably cost him a couple of seeds is getting 3 dominant centers instead of a good PF or an offensively threatening SF
