  1. It's my fault. I got a little too excited about the win, had a little alcohol in me and the rest is history. You did make a post after Mo blew the save, and you're a good poster. It's irritating when other Yankees fans join a Red Sox site, then only post when things go wrong for the Red Sox. I clearly got carried away though, you're not one of those posters. Next time just tell me that I'm being an ass and I'll shut up
  2. Fair enough, I apologize Yankees 228. You do seem like a decent poster on this site and multiple Red Sox fans stepped in to defend you. That says volumes. Sorry for being an ass.
  3. 2-1 odds he pretends he was working then jumps on them the first thing that goes wrong for them tomorrow.
  4. Ah, there they are. You didn't show up until late in the game when the Yankees were up 5-1. Then you made a single post after they blew the lead and left the thread even though you were still on the site complaining about Girardi.
  5. Chamberlain now has a 4.91 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP. Perhaps he's not the shut down reliever that some people thought he was 3 days ago. And as for Mo, something is clearly wrong with him. He's now blown back-to-back saves and even the Yankees announcers couldn't help but mention how suspect his control has been.
  6. It's the strangest thing how when the Yankees were up 5-1 late in the game, two Yankees fans came into this thread and after Mo blew the save they suddenly went away again.
  7. That's the closest to the Varitek/A-Rod fight game that we've had in years. If we can't build upon that, I don't know if we're going anywhere this year.
  8. WOW. That was the grittiest performance I've ever seen from Papelbon. He came in with nothing the night after a heart wrenching blown save, the first batter reaches on an error and he somehow manages to get the save by jamming hitters, throwing lots off his secondary pitches, playing tremendous defense and then finally blowing away Winn. That was the performance of the game.
  9. That was a GREAT play by Papelbon to look the runner back at third. Not many pitchers would have had the mind to do that and Cano was creeping down the line.
  10. Not only is Papelbon throwing 93, but he can't locate his fastball right now either. Just please don't throw threw here and get beat on a steal of home. Girardi likes to overmanage.
  11. Another splitter. Drop the slider on the outside corner now?
  12. There's Mr. Splitty. I wouldn't give him a fastball to hit, Papelbon's fastball sucks right now.
  13. Good rotation play by Youk/Pedey. I'll take the out the way Papelbon's pitching.
  14. PLEASE have him bunt. Papelbon's got nothing, he really needs outs.
  15. Papelbon's got nothing. We're gonna blow this one too... Can't we just pretend he's hurt and bring in another reliever?
  16. And just as soon as we get a lead, Scutaro tries to give it right back.
  17. The umpire has been changing the strike zone aaaaall night.
  18. Yeah, I don't have too many issues with Francona. He's not exactly the best in game manager but he's a good clubhouse guy so I cut him slack. But his refusal to take Beckett out of a game until he's given up at least 5 runs or gets over 100 pitches is really irritating. He's yet to be taken out of a game where he didn't either give up 5 runs or pitch at least 105 pitches.
  19. It would be hilarious if Thames, the hero from last night dropped a ball that leads to the Red Sox winning tonight.
  20. And as soon as Mo blows the lead, Michael Kay starts running through the multiple excuses for why the Yankees aren't winning. Like clockwork.
  21. f*** YES! THANK YOU MO!
