  1. True Red Sox fans will follow the teeam, no matter what. The ones that jumped on the band wagon are not baseball fans. The old Red Sox will not come back
  2. OMG...this is not a law office. I stated my opinion as a fan. I don't claim to be a GM and have all the answers about each player. I just commented that JD would be better off playing in NL or a team that the fan base doesn't really care. No, I don't know him...but I am a die hard New England fan. Been watching sports in this town since I was a little kid. Fans want their players to bust their asses. He is NOT a $14 mil player....no matter how your wash it.
  3. JD will have his one hot month then go back to being adverage....not the 14 mil player he was brought in to be. He in not the kind of player that Boston fans like. We like the Justin P. and Kevin Youks" of the baseball world. He would be better in LA or another National league team. I don't think he is a bad ball player....but he doens't care and it shows. That's what the Boston fans don't like.
  4. Lowell and Ortiz are not going anywhere. No GM in baseball would take either one....unless he wants to be looking for a new line of work. Lowell is no longer able to play everyday and with his money nobody would take. The offer of the Sox paying 95% is no longer on the table. Ortis....well enough said. He has proven he is on his way down....not to say he can't repeat last years output. But the feared clutch power guy we all loved, is no longer around. This wil be his last year with the Sox. I see Tito doing the righty/lefty thing with them.....and go with the hot hand....when there is one.
  5. Buck is staying in the rotation and Wake is going to the pen for now. They want to see what Dice K is going to be for them and now is the time. He only top out at 92 a couple of times in Pawtucket. Wioth Wake's age and back woes the last few season, this is a smart move. It will keep him healthy for Aug and Sept, keep Buck in the rotation, and a show and tell for Dice K. The Red Sox brain trust is acting now....and if they didn't all the GM's out there would be all over them. Thumbs up ^ for Theo.
  6. Nine steals by the Rangers tonight. Wake was on the mound and my mother could steal on him. There are not to many catchers in MLB that are lights out throwing out runners. Maybe a hand full. I read an article not to long ago about how catching is becoming a lost art. (as in pure catchers) The best ones are moved to other positions in college or the minors, due to teams not wanting them to get beat up before they make it to the bigtime. The Twins signed the only catcher that would make a difference on any team. Parent clubs need to keep that young catching talent behind the plate.
  7. I never realized that the baseball season was won or lost in the first two weeks. All teams go through strings of loosing & winning. That's why they play 162 games. The Yanks were worst at the start of last season. The Sox brain trust is not stupid...relax and enjoy the season. Noone has ever won a division in the first four months of the season....never mind the firrst two weeks. Be a FAN.
