He's a better hitter than Crawford right now. Plus he's a switch hitter so they don't have Ortiz followed by a lefty.

There weren't a lot of pitchers available at the deadline. It's an off season to address list. Along with the bullpen. The OF wouldn't be such a issue if Crawford were producing. He hasn't. That's the problem, not just Reddick/McDonald.
