  1. I think i may pass if Kalish is the +1. I think he is going to be good. Would like to see him as our centerfielder for the next 5-6 years min. I'm sure if we are going to get Agon it will be a trade and Ellsbury will be included, so Kalish would fit in nicely in CF.
  2. I agree with your thinking Spud. Hopefully he can bounce back for our benefit and be at least what he was for the Angels. And Dice-K +1 to Dodgers is what i've been thinking for awhile. Would love to see Eithier in RF. I've heard that he and Pedroia are best friends from their college days and they live close to eachother and hang out. That could help make for an easy transition. I'd take Eithier over Werth.
  3. I agree with you there. I think he has a few good years left. He works too hard to be a good player to not be better than anything we put out there. Just about the $. and that fact that the yankers would probably match any offer. or maybe not.
  4. Barring any major multi player injuries, this team has as good a chance to win the WS as any!
  5. Your right Beltre and Cameron "HAD" those stats last year. Lets look forward to this year and beyond. Alot of people had a bad 2009 in sports and in general, doesn't mean 2010 is going to be the same. With that line of thinking we shouldn't even get up tomorrow morning. This is a solid team, Only teams on paper that can match up are the Yankees and Phillies. So what's the problem, they don't play the game on paper.
  6. That's why i asked about Lars Anderson. I know one bad season doesn't make the player, But if we do bring in AGon then Lars doesn't have a spot unless he moves to left field where he played back in HS. You make good points "BSN07" about Buchholz, And even though he is a great trade chip, if we keep him he should be a great 5th starter.
  7. I would like to see the Sox pick up Jermain Dye if the price is right on a 2 year deal. He and Hermida can platoon with Drew when he is out and Cameron or Ellsbury in Left when needed. He can also DH against Lefties and Pinch hit. Look at his numbers, he is solid. Good teams need guys like him to help our young guys learn the ropes. And come playoff time we have a guy who isn't like a deer in the headlights, he has been there a few times.
  8. I understand everyone's concern, But what has Bucholtz done other than the no-hitter? He is 26 and i would think by now he would be a dominant 1-2 if he was going to be. He is a #2-#4 starter on a bad team like the Padres. He would do much better in a weaker division. Trade him while his stock is highest. Don't forget he could tank and then what? I love the idea of getting AGon without giving up Kelly or Westmoreland, but was wondering, have the Sox given up on Lars Anderson?
