I just want to point the significance of this AB:
Pedroia has been one of the most difficult batters to strike out in all of baseball throughout his career. This year, his swing hasn't been quite there, and his strikeout numbers have been pretty mediocre.
In that AB, he faced the most difficult right handed pitcher in the league(as a right handed hitter, mind you) and battled through 13 pitches to get a solid hit up the middle. I would like to think that we're seeing Pedroia getting back to himself.
