  1. I took one look at this thread, and threw up a little bit in my mouth. If he's so valuable, trade him to someone who can survive his 6.00 cERA.
  2. I would not be surprised to see the Red Sox trade Daniel Bard at this point. Sure, he fell apart as a starter, but there is definitely some team out there who is willing to buy him on the merits of his career. I think that there are going to be many teams who are willing to give up a good deal for a cost controlled guy with a 100 mph fastball, who could potentially be a franchise closer. If the Red Sox think there is something seriously wrong with him mechanically, they could probably net enough value for a #2 starter for him-- even after such a terrible season.
  3. 3-2 Celtics, coming back to Boston. Sweeeeet.
  4. Van Gundy is such a f***ing Heat homer. Pissed about the Celtics flopping? Really?
  5. Garnett has spent too much time on the bench. He's utterly dominating this game with his defense.
  6. Paging Mr. Bard. Daniel Bard, please report to the bullpen. Paging Mr. Bard.
  7. Miami is throwing the game away with all these bad three point attempts, Boston's help defense has been dominant, and Garnett is having a good game. Pierce is been abysmal. Surprising game, not as good as I was hoping for.
  8. I knew Salty was swinging for the fences. He was going to hit a home run or strike out. I think he just got lucky.
  9. Salty is as tall as a giant today
  10. f*** you Pumpsi Green. Edit: And I mean that in the most affectionate way possible
  11. Salty is swinging for the fences.
  12. I think we need to see more of WMB and less of Agon. He may want to play 162 games, but if he continues to play like he has, he certainly doesn't deserve to.
  13. I thought the same exact thing. Pierce used to be one of the worst floppers around, but he seems to be a bit better than in the past.
  14. Now Lester is heading for the clubhouse. Popeyes has arrived.
  15. They've looked sluggish so far, and they just haven't been taking good shots. I bet they'll pick it up a bit in the third.
  16. Nava is going to be elected as the WTF player of the year.
  17. He has a great career ahead of him, but he's in a slump right now. It is what it is-- but atleast take a pitch-- I don't think he's taken a pitch all night.
  18. They would not be intentionally walking Ortiz if Middlebrooks was behind him.
  19. Seriously, take a f***ing pitch or two if you're going to be worthless Agon.
  20. What's the old Jacko adage? "He's been playing against weak competition so long that he's lost his motivation." Honestly, Dice-k is pitching in Boston on Saturday. That's four days, not the traditional five. I would not be surprised if he didn't give a crap about the results of the game tonight.
  21. Pedroia fouled off five balls, stayed in the at bat, and eventually struck out. Agon lightly swings at the first pitch and ends the inning. Seems like there is a bit of a discrepency there.
