You can't use logic and statistics, you HAVE to call someone a retard and a douche because they see through your faulty stats and distorted view on them. Seriously, you're 37 years old, act like it. Process out all the anger in your thoughts, think through your posts before you make them. Trust me, it works wonders. Is it necessary to call someone a douchebag? Or a retard? You made a thread about toning it down, but you've been doing your best to bait a fight in the middle of a completely civilized discussion.

    Because he played at Safeco, and Dodger Stadium before that. I think that's pretty legitimate, especially considering that he has had about 20 home runs (19 once) in every season from 2002-2008.

    Yeah, knowing the Yankees, unless there was a health issue, they would have kept the obviously superior player. Matsui is obviously superior to Nick Johnson. However, Johnson DOES fit well in the 2 spot with his high OBP, so we'll see.

    Yup. I'm the biggest Mauer fan on this board, so naturally, I want him to remain in Minnesota. I think the balance of power would change a lot if he left for New York or Boston.

    How's about getting back on topic? I agree with you, the park factors for the Mariners and Beltre are more punishing than the ones for PNC and LaRoche.

    I said somewhere that he'd make 20M/yr, but I also said that he may make a bit more. He would make that figure in most cases, but I think he's willing to take a bit off for the Twins.

    We made a push for Scutaro, pretty sure we're sticking with him. It's really that simple. If we saw ourselves with Hanley, we wouldn't have made such a deal. Also, Beltre costs little more than LaRoche does, and is an upgrade offensively and defensively.
