  1. Yeah, I didn't realize that, but it's true. We have some big-time playoff performers in our rotation. Of course, Beckett was lights out through both of his postseason runs.
  2. Gom, that's why almost every post you've made since the past four or five days has been reportable. It's because you can't be civilized with your argument. You can't use logic and statistics, you HAVE to call someone a retard and a douche because they see through your faulty stats and distorted view on them. Seriously, you're 37 years old, act like it. No really, you're pushing 40, start acting like a 40 year old man. You're acting up to about a quarter of your age. Process out all the anger in your thoughts, think through your posts before you make them. Trust me, it works wonders. Is it necessary to call someone a douchebag? Or a retard? Is it necessary to make it personal? To dig up old, buried s***? Absolutely not. You made a thread about toning it down, but you've been doing your best to bait a fight in the middle of a completely civilized discussion.
  3. Well we'll just have to settle for Ellsbury. Maybe we can get Dave Roberts to post here or something?
  4. Oh, and Bill Smith is the worst GM I've ever been through. Santana for Gomez, Garza, Bartlett, etc for Young? Eek.
  5. Because he played at Safeco, and Dodger Stadium before that. I think that's pretty legitimate, especially considering that he has had about 20 home runs (19 once) in every season from 2002-2008.
  6. Gom, all you're doing is proving yourself to be a hypocrite. Seriously, you bring little to the table with these antics. It's called being mature. You're a middle-aged man, it's time to start acting like one.
  7. Consider who he's arguing with.
  8. All you've done is taken everything to an unnecessary level. You throw around insults after making a topic about how we should all "tone it down". Seriously, argue the points, not the poster.
  9. I think it's pretty difficult to get rid of Bradley's baggage. The man's a complete mental case.
  10. Yeah, knowing the Yankees, unless there was a health issue, they would have kept the obviously superior player. Matsui is obviously superior to Nick Johnson. However, Johnson DOES fit well in the 2 spot with his high OBP, so we'll see.
  11. Yup, that's the thing, I'd rather get the guy who's got a bat and a glove, and looks to be a prime candidate for a bounce-back season.
  12. Yup. I'm the biggest Mauer fan on this board, so naturally, I want him to remain in Minnesota. I think the balance of power would change a lot if he left for New York or Boston.
  13. How's about getting back on topic? I agree with you, the park factors for the Mariners and Beltre are more punishing than the ones for PNC and LaRoche.
  14. I said somewhere that he'd make 20M/yr, but I also said that he may make a bit more. He would make that figure in most cases, but I think he's willing to take a bit off for the Twins.
  15. Two convenient years for him to choose. It's really that simple. 2009 is damaging to his argument.
  16. Trying to continue an old fight that was dropped in favor of using statistics? I think that's a little contradictory.
  17. Hey, uhhhh, Dojji. Those be from, well, not this year.
  18. We made a push for Scutaro, pretty sure we're sticking with him. It's really that simple. If we saw ourselves with Hanley, we wouldn't have made such a deal. Also, Beltre costs little more than LaRoche does, and is an upgrade offensively and defensively.
