  1. Haha...you mean the Hawk. That guy will drive you crazy. If I never hear "Put it on the board...YES!" again I will die a happy man.
  2. Shoppach has owned Balckburn...8/16 3 HR, 1 2B and 5 RBI's. Aviles has hit him hard as well 5/10 w/ 2 2B and a 3B. Let's get at him early boys!
  3. Organizational mismanagement is the answer. Players know they have a window to accumulate their riches before father time steals their ability. If an organization is to myopic to utilize the player and max their full potential they exit. It happens everywhere. Sometimes great talent does not fit into the organizational plan and both parties realize it and split. If Bard continues in the pen, I would not be surprised to see him wearing another jersey soon.
  4. Welcome
  5. I feel for Bard…on one hand I know we need him in the pen right now but on the other hand he deserves the chance to be a full time starter. It is not fair to him but there are plenty of things in life that we all encounter that are “not fair”. Do the job they are requesting you do for now but I would not blame him if he bolts out of Boston at first chance. If I were him I know I would.
  6. Kevin Youkilis and his .190 avg. + the pen + Bobby V and his motivational speeches.
  7. Honestly…Bobby V was set up to fail in Boston. The FO needed a sacrificial lamb to offer up to the fans. Congratulations Bobby you are this lamb. The thing is Bobby probably knew this would happen as well but it was a chance to get back in MLB. As much as I dislike Bobby’s personality (and trust me it is a lot) this really is not his fault. It is impossible to polish as turd and this team right now is a turd.
  8. No, we need them to remind us of how much stupid there is in this world. Here let me help you find your way home…go to nyyfans.com. There you will be able to find people who will talk at your speed and have relatively the same intelligence. Judging by your choice of user name you are WAY out of your league here and most of this discussion will be extremely difficult for you to understand.
  9. Managers play a bigger role in MLB than most people think. Baseball players are fragile creatures historically and must be managed with a certain psychology tailored to each player. It is the job of the manager to keep the teams mind set together for the long and tedious season. Lineups and pitching decisions are handled by the manager ultimately (with a few exceptions) and these things play a HUGE role in the outcome of seasons. Sure the manger can’t turn a double play or hit a curve but don’t underestimate their ability to control the outcome of a game/season.
  10. There is this place called StubHub...I would try there.
  11. Not to prolong the metric issue...but I always think of it like a QB. It gets to much praise when things go good and to much blame when things go bad. It takes a combo of qaulitative and quantitative findings to get the right players.
  12. He's back...ugh. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/7594873/manny-ramirez-agrees-deal-oakland-as
  13. YAWWWWWWN....who cares.
