    You should note that Javy was demoted because he was supposed to be a lefty specialist but he failed to get lefties out. Lefties were .429 against him and the rest of the bullpen against lefties were: Hideki Okajima: .077 (2 for 26) Ramon Ramirez: .143 (5 for 35) Jonathan Papelbon: .167 (5 for 30) Manny Delcarmen: .200 (7 for 35) Hunter Jones: .200 (3 for 15) Takashi Saito: .222 (6 for 27) So we don't necesarilly need Javy on the roster and the management was thinking that it would be a good idea to see how Bard does in the majors

    Garza has 96 pitches now.. their pen should be up soon, we have a good chance of winning this tonight

    yep, he's on pace to hit a lot of homeruns, He'll cool down though. I suspect he's doing so well since its his FA year, I expect him to end with around 30 homers.

    I would also like to see what Buccholz can do this year, and Smoltz if he can pitch at all this year, should be a nice addition to our rotation, and Dice K is coming back soon so that should be good for us. I honestly have no idea where the Sox need to improve on the beat the Rays.. Papi-type hitter? Youk and Bay is producing like crazy. Not bullpen, defense is fine imo, do we need a shortstop? Not necessarily to beat that one team. Funny thing is, the fact that we are talking about how to beat the Rays now states that Yankees are not the biggest foe we face in AL East now. Rays are. I find that kind of funny to see how bad the Yankees are sliding down even with their spending spree.

    what exactly is the problem with ortiz? slower swing due to injuries, mechanical flaws, slow start, one-in-a-while injury or just the good old aging process?
