  1. Wake with the single into center!
  2. So far, so good for Wake. Vasquez is tough, though.
  3. VA is in the house! Welcome Sistah!
  4. That's good. I always wonder how ambient conditions will effect Wake's knuckler.
  5. 1-2-3 inning for Wake to start the game.
  6. Peedy gunned down.
  7. So far these guys (whoever they are) sound OK.
  8. I see our New Jesey contingent has joined us ! Welcome to the best GT in RSN.
  9. Sorry about your Mom. It's very cool that you were able to have those experiences with her. I've wanted to take my Mom there for years but she has resisted. She's 84 now so it's not to likely to happen.
  10. That would be sweet. Vasquez's ERA is hovering around 2.0 over his last five starts. I think it's five. Anyway, I hope hits are not at a premium. I have a hunch Lugo will hit well. He has a lot to prove. Of course any offense he produces will likely be negated by booting a critical play. Not the strongest line-up for the Sox. I hope we have some activity here on the GT today.
  11. I guess Bay and Green both need a blow. Lowell probably won't play until Tuesday, so I've read. It's going to be sweltering at Turner Field today. Hope no Sox players cramp-up. Hydration is critical.
  12. It's good to have you aboard. I'm curious, you joined Talksox last October. Why have you waited until now to make your first post?
  13. The Boston papers reported this morning that Beckett had stomach or intestinal problems last night. I can't imagine pitching seven innings with my guts roiling and having the urge to s*** my brains out. The guy is a tough competitor with a lot of "guts". I'm not sure why it happened but he plunked a 95 mph fastball off, I believe, Chipper Jone's ass. That's got to hurt!
  14. Boston Red Sox (45-28) vs. Atlanta Braves (34-39). 4:10 PM on FOX Tim Wakefield 9-3, 4.47 ERA, 1.41 WHIP vs. Javier Vasquez 5-6, 3.18 ERA, 1.05 WHIP. The Sox continue to feast on a banquet of mediocre National League teams. Courtesy of Amalie Benjamin, here's today's Red Sox starting lineup, which features Jason Bay getting a day off with Mark Kotsay starting in left field and Julio Lugo taking a start at shortstop. Red Sox 1. Dustin Pedroia, 2B 2. J.D. Drew, RF 3. Kevin Youkilis, 3B 4. David Ortiz, 1B 5. Mark Kotsay, LF 6. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF 7. Julio Lugo, SS 8. George Kottaras, C 9. Tim Wakefield, RHP
  15. Beckett continued his dominance. Papi drives one over the fence. Sox win. I can deal with that.
  16. Paps continues with his new found sense of drama.
  17. Nice Mr. Papelbon
  18. Only the ones that down ludes for breakfast.
  19. Yeah, when he isn't throwing one at the AT&T sign.
  20. Oki giveth, Oki taketh away. Strikes out the side.
  21. Back to back Ks.
