With a man on first and one down, there was a broken bat ground ball to short. The barrel of the bat arrived before the ball and Green had to duck and deflect the bat. The ball rolled into left center with the base runner advancing to third.

Roberts was originally hired by NESN prior to Remy's absence to work in the studio with T.C. and is only filling in. If or when Remy returns he'll (Roberts) likely be in the studio. Roberts is intelligent, knowledgeable, articulate, and boring. He has a monotone voice and is too positive about everything. He has gotten a little better. Eck is much better. Neither is anywhere as good as Remy. But Remy has so many years of experience and great chemistry with Don Orcillo. Comparing the other two with Remy is not really fair. While I'm on my soap box, The Natinals would be doing us all a favor by opting to use a blimp for overhead coverage for this game. That camera behind and above the plate is very poorly placed and makes tracking the balls put in play a dizzying experience.

I just read in the Herald that Co Co's season is done. Apparently he has torn the labrum (sp) in his right shoulder and will have season ending surgery to repair it. Recovery is expected to take 4-6 months. Additionally, the Royals may consider buying out his $8 Mil. contact for next year for $500 K.
