Kelly gave up 6 ER in 4+ today. Sea Dogs were down 6-2 until Spears, Rizzo, and Navaro went yard in the 7th. 8-2 Portland in the 8th.

Yet inexplicably, the Red Sox are not scheduled to play today. NESN is saving the day, however. They'll have the New Britain-Portland Class AA game at 1 p.m. Casey Kelly is pitching, too. Kelly is experiencing some growing pains this season. He's 0-3 with a 4.32 ERA and in his last 12 innings has allowed seven runs on seven hits and six walks. But he's 20 and pitching in a league with a ton of prospects. Ryan Kalish is starting to make a case for himself. He has seven hits in his last nine at-bats, two of them home runs. He is hitting .288 on the season with eight homers and 29 RBI in 40 games. So catch the Sea Dogs today. Just in case anyone is interested in seeing Kelly and other Sox prospects play.
