I'm not saying they should pitch every other day. I just think the repercussions of a collapse of this magnitude would be devastating. If pitching Lester and Beckett once or twice at most on short rest can stop it, I say you do it.
Is it that absurd to start thinking about letting them pitch on short rest to try and salvage this sinking ship? We're trotting out goons game and after game. What's the point of keeping these 2 healthy and rested for the postseason if we're not even going to get there?
The back end of our rotation is literally laughable. And Bedard better get his bitch ass back on the mound and stay there.

How long ago does it seem that Gonzo was God? It's remarkable how little confidence I have when he's at the plate compared to June.
Find that stroke again.
This is the most pivotal moment of the season thus far. Close it out and the wildcard could be all but locked up if Lester wins tomorrow.
Lose and the whole season could crumble.
We're in some trouble fellas. What an awful time to have the bullpen completely implode the past few weeks. I mean, the lineup can hit, but how much can you really ask them to do? Ten runs isn't enough?
Oh, and why the f*** is Tim Wakefield allowed to throw a baseball?
I could not give 2 shits about 200 wins. Do not ever let Tim Wakefield trot out to the mound again. I'm shocked more and more every day by the ineptitude of this pitching staff (save Lester and Beckett of course).
Does this mean the division race is over? With Lackey, Weiland, Miller, and Wakefield all due to see even more time, I don't see how the Sox could take the division. Although, getting healthy for the postseason is much more important.
Missing Clay is going to be really hard to overcome. There's really no way around that. Lackey is consistently average to bad. Bedard is consistently average.
Lester-Beckett-Bedard-Lackey should be the rotation. Love 1 and 2, but I don't know how confident I am in the group overall. The bats better show up more than they have lately if we're looking to win another WS.
Lester has had A LOT of control issues lately. He just racks up so many pitches in such a short time. He's so effective, which makes it even more frustrating to see him not be able to go deeper into the game.
