    Being realistic about the situation ≠ giving up on the team. Making up 6 games with a little more than 50 games left would be very difficult. That's before you take into account that they just lost their best hitter and Pedroia still doesn't have an exact time table to return.

    That's a given Spud. There are multiple backup 2/3 guards who can defend out there for them. Larry Hughes and Delonte West are just a couple that come to mind. Daniels can also put in some minutes for them as well.

    Yes, it was their biggest need. We all know Perk is going to be out for a long time and with him out of the lineup that only leaves KG and the oft injured Jermaine O'neal as their only big men. Does everyone seem to forget this team was DOMINATED on the glass in the playoffs?
