    I wonder if they are still talking about a contract? I haven't heard anything in a while. Mankins is one of the few guys who might really stay true to his word and sit out till week 10 or whatever the cutoff date is to get credit for the season. Buffalo released Schobel. I'd love to see the Pats get this guy signed if he will accept reasonable money. He would instantly become their best pass rusher and strengthen their biggest weakness. Matt Light would be thrilled.

    So I guess Kaczur has a "significant" injury that could keep him out for the year. Huge blow to this o-line that is already without Mankins.

    I guess the NBA gave him that All-Defensive 1st Team out of charity then. Listen, I'm not claiming the guy is a great defender but he's been decent in the past. The question is would he come to Boston and buy into their system?

    It really sucks they had to use Papelbon in a game where they had a 5 run lead heading into the 9th right before a 4 game series with NY.
