  1. Has Balfour signed yet? Wouldn't mind seeing the Sox pick him up.
  2. He was the PTBNL?
  3. I like the Jenks signing as long they didn't sign him to replace Papelbon this season.
  4. They can't it done without be aggressive in terms of money/years. I'm sure he has multiple suitors and maybe even a chance to close again.
  5. Exactly. I complained about the Crawford deal too but to get cheap with the pen isn't the answer. I guess I shouldn't expect much anyway, building a pen has always been a struggle for Theo.
  6. Ok, I agree with that but why is everyone so concerned with the cost? Overpaying for a reliever isn't going to hurt this team in the long run, what will hurt them is not having a reliable bullpen this season. How terrible would it be for this team and their gigantic payroll to lose important games this season because they were waiting out the market for "good deals".
  7. Just shows you what the market is for relief pitching and what the Sox should expect to pony up to land someone.
  8. What reliever would you say has received an absurd amount of money this off season other than Benoit?
  9. The TRUTH!
  10. I don't see how you can dispute what Ital said. Other teams are signing some of the better relievers on the market while the Sox are looking at guys who would be lucky to pitch in the majors next year. Sure, there are still some good options on the market. It would be shame to see this team go into next season with a mediocre pen after making some huge acquisitions that should make them one of the favorites in the AL.
  11. If they keeping looking for the best "deal" they might end up going into next season with a s***** bp.
  12. He's just speaking the truth.
  13. You think that is going to stop NYY fans from dreaming of Felix? The rumors will be a plenty.
  14. obviously...
  15. Sure, but that's a steal for Philly. Best rotation in baseball now.
  16. 5/100? Are you kidding me? Would LOVE to have that contract instead of Crawford's.
  17. Sorry about the short explanations this round. I'm probly not going to be able to log in for an extended period of time this weekend and didn't want anyone waiting on my votes.
  18. yh213 Very close match up. I had y228 a couple spots ahead of yh but I like how he matches up here. I don't think the talent mismatch in Manning vs Rodgers is as big as people are making it out to be in this particular match up. yh has the better oline and backs so I can see him gaining the edge in that facet of the game. Obviously y228 has a very good defense and some star players but so does yh. A lot of their d players match up pretty well with their counterparts but give me yh secondary in a heartbeat.
  19. Kilo y228 summed it up very nicely. yrtb most likely wouldn't be able to hurt kilo in the air and would have to throw the ball a lot because I see kilo jumping out to an early 2 score lead.
  20. Ital It's a nice match up but I just can't see CD's defense having the type of personnel to stop Manning and his weapons. Other than that it's fairly close.
  21. Kobe and Fisher are freakin' good.
  22. Yes please.
