  1. Don't know if he's good enough for 5th anymore. We'll see what he looks like in June. Middlebrooks-time next year.
  2. f*** you Joe Buck
  3. How it works is Bard has a higher ceiling as a starter than Aceves. Until he fails, there's little reason to move him back to the pen.
  4. Waiting to see if Youk can break out of this 12 month funk. Go Sox!
  5. Ok, so the Sox shouldn't have relied on Bailey because of his injury history, but we'll ignore the history of Padilla and Cook? Just trying to follow the train of thought here.
  6. Rivera is a highlander. He could pitch 3 more years if he felt like it.
  7. Fred, Tim Wakefield had a better WHIP, ERA, and K/BB than Aaron Cook last year. Please explain why anyone would pine for him. I don't get it.
  8. Back to the original topic: Will Beckett be limited tomorrow because of the thumb?
  9. Or that it was great to see the offense battle back and get to a closer who didn't blow any saves last year? It was nice to see Sweeney come up big. Maybe it'll help him get on a little roll.
  10. I was aware. Thank you for finding it.
  11. Keep doing the Lord's work. Bless your soul...
  12. Holy sheep-dick, the Chicago Sun Times has written a Theo article that is completely mind boggling. There's a picture of Theo walking on water... The week of Easter... WTF?
  13. What's the undercard?
  14. I don't buy into the "wait til the trading deadline" mantra.
  15. I'm talking about making a trade. I don'tthink Gonzalez is an upgrade over what the Sox already have.
  16. It's easier to get a BP arm than an adequate SP. We'll see if the FO makes a move or stays cheap.
  17. Unfortunately, it was implied when you quoted my post.
  18. Also, the point seems irrelevant as I haven't used sports writers as evidence for my thoughts on yhe Sox. Maybe just confusing me with someone else? I'm firmly in the "don't take sports writers' words as gospel" camp. I could care less what Cafardo/Edes/et al has to say. More often than not, they are trying to break stories that don't come to fruition anyway. I don't trust crap that's written solely to sell papers.
  19. Felger is a talking head, not a writer.
  20. According to other posters, worrying about SBF's health is belittling him. I'm just worried about anyone who takes Felger and Mazz seriously. Felger is a professional contrarian (see last year's Bruins) and Mazz is just a yes-man at this point. They don't speak for the majority of fans or even for the majority of the media.
  21. So Melancon isn't good enough for the 7th now? Morales finished the year strong. You'll never have a team of 25 All Stars.
  22. So much for the Melancon feel good story this morning.
