  1. Lowrie's hitting even worse lefthanded than Cora is. If Kazmir comes in in relief (possible!) so will Lowrie.
  2. Let's serve some Fried Ray! http://italiancook.ca/holiday/raia-stingray.jpg (hmm, that doesn't look half bad!)
  3. (by request) Let's do this thing! All hands on deck! I suspect we might see an Edwin Jackson or Scott Kazmir sighting from the Rays if we get to Garza early, and we've already been told Daisuke is on deck for the Sox. Phillies on the tarmac waiting to go northeast or southeast. WE'VE COME TOO FAR! LET'S DEEP FRY RAYMOND! LET'S DIVERT THE PHILLY FLIGHT TO FENWAY!! FOR ALL THE MARBLES! http://www.kidsturncentral.com/graphics/marbles3.jpg
  4. Hey, we all need a defensive replacement from time to time. Glad to help.
  5. I think we can all agree on holding onto a firm No Timlin Rule. I also think I speak for everyone when I hope that our bats make the whole thing academic by turning in a laugher blowout. Big Papi, I'm looking right at you when I say this. Make Game 7 Timlin-proof! That said, we saw 2 innings of Oki, Masterson's either a candidate for Tommy John surgery or an ALCS MVP with his workload, and Paps' velocity is down, and tonight we have a game. Lopez and Delcarmen will probably be the first men out of the pen tonight. Both were quality pitchers over the course of the regular season but they're just not Masterson, Oki and Papelbon. If it's a close game and we're ahead, Papelbon will close it out. There's no question about that, that's the job he signed up for as closer. So if we get 6 out of Lester, we probably don't need a bit, exotic solution like using Daisuke in relief or going to Byrd, Timlin or Wakefield for one inning relief. An inning from Lopez, an inning from MDC, and then see where we're at and which of Masterson or Oki you want to push to the breaking point. 7 from Lester would be fantastic. That would allow you to split the 8th between our second-tier relievers and go straight to Paps if something goes wrong.
  6. Will do, closer to time, unless Schillingouttheks decides to step in. After all, Game 5 was the bigger win..
  7. Glad to hear it. So, uhh... who starts tonight's thread? Me or Schillingouttheks?
  8. THERE WILL BE A GAME 7!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS BUILDING IS VIBRATING! (CUZ THE RAYS FANS ARE SHAKING!!!)
  9. He has pitched a lot lately. But he's doing it with command and the great splitter right now, not the overpowering heat, so if he is down some MPH he knew it going in and adjusted.
  10. Plenty of time to say that after the third out.
  11. I'm sure most of us loosers (sic) have more life than someone who comes into a forum and tries (badly) to stir up crap.
  12. So in other words, you're lashing out in anger and frustration to the point that you're whinily demanding mutually contradictory events. Yep. I might need to amend that initial 6 YO estimate down.
  13. Does your wetnurse know you're up this late?
  14. I'm sure we're all waiting on tenterhooks. Tenterhooks I say.
  15. Thanks for dropping by. I needed a laugh.
  16. Nice first post, troll. What are you, 6 years old?
  17. That kid's got veteran intelligence. He coulda melted down after the leadoff baserunner -- instead he struck out the next guy and retired two of the hottest hitters of the postseason in good order.
  18. YES YES YES!!! GREAT JOB MASTERSON!
  19. Now would be a great time to waste a slider. EDIT: Good job!
