  1. JD heating up down the stretch again. Awesome.
  2. Fastball right over the middle of the plate at a belt. What a lolipop.
  3. 3RHR Still a F Yeah moment
  4. Base hit to the right side would be so freaking sweet right now.
  5. Find a gap Mikey!
  6. One thing I noticed was that Daisuke flexed his shoulder after nearly every pitch shown in the video in live action. Clearly there's still some kind of discomfort there.
  7. I'm not surprised. A bit of rectal cellulose seems to be a moderator prerequisite over there.
  8. Remember Brian Giles last year?
  9. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090824&content_id=6596662&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb So glad we didn't make that trade.
  10. If someone at NYYFans did what they do here they'd be banned in a New York minute.
  11. Velocity? A pretty crucial question to not get answered.

    lol

Pretty much. And besides, this fanbase has no room to talk whatsoever. Two of their franchise icons, Mark McGwire and Tony LaRussa, get prominent mention in Canceco's book.
  13. I kind of agree with Jacko. He's not the dynamic CF he was paid to be, but Matsui's inability to play the field made room for him and let him still be a good piece for NYY. Jacko's overselling it of course, but Damon is still a net asset for NYY.
  14. Really? when we have enrique Gonzalez on the roster? the ONLY way?
  15. If he accepts arbitration he gets a minimum of probably around $6M/year. That would be pretty difficult to pass up too.
  16. that's a very good point. If the Nationals have ownership money they might decide to spend on their pitching staff and see where Dunn, Strasburg and Zimmerman can carry them. A short term low risk flier on a veteran with proven NL East experience would appeal to them a lot.
  17. Do you really think anyone is going to trust him with the closer's role?
  18. if Boston picks up the $8M option or offers arb, it'll be more money than Wagner's likely to see in any other offseason scenario, especially if the economy continues weak.
  19. What do you want us to say? Yeah we're going to honestly express our concerns in a thread about our ace started by a Yankee fan, with Gom already hovering in the wings waiting to pounce. Can we really be blamed for being a bit political about it? You starting the thread set it up for exactly the kind of responses you've got so far.
  20. Of course. That's why he isn't an elite reliever even though really he probably has the raw stuff to be a starter. However, he is still a very useful reliever and his ERA+ tells me that "marginal" isn't the correct word to describe his contributions to the Red Sox over the last 3 years or so.
  21. True, though. If he was a closer he'd be in the middle echelon of closers. Not great, but not an embarrassment. His command's a bit off, which is why he isn't an elite reliever, but as far as a durable righthander who doesn't get himself in trouble very often goes, that's Delcarmen. No matter what your emotional reaction to watching him pitch tells you.
  22. http://www.clipartguide.com/_named_clipart_images/0511-0905-2605-2036_Guy_Trying_to_Break_Up_a_Fight_clipart_image.jpg C'mon guys, if nothing else, we don't necessarily want to keep this thread alive do we?
  23. He means that losing a second straight head to head with NYY means it's panic time for the pink hat brigade.
