  1. My lasting memory of Ray will be 'the guy who shot the Lakers back into game 7 in 2010'. Regardless, best of luck to him in Miami. As usual, my facebook feed is blowing up with the usual Celtic homer dipshits going 'omg rae allin iz ded 2 meeeee!!11! >:[' and similar garbage.
  2. Nash will take ballhandling duties from Kobe though, so his selfishness won't be as big a factor. Again, Kobe's the only one who can f*** this up. He made the recruiting pitch for Nash, so if he doesn't like the way it works out, that's his fault.
  3. Not at all. OT, he's sick of Boston and I don't really blame him.
  4. Bynum is the biggest winner. The guy averaged almost 19 PPG last year on just 13 FG attempts. For a guy with his post skills, that's criminal. The main culprit was Kobe's selfishness and the lack of ball movement in the Lakers offense. Nash will get him more shots AND provides a huge threat on the perimeter that the defense can't ignore. Bynum could put up well over 20 PPG next year, and his defense will likely improve as a result of being more involved.

  6. Steve Nash is headed to the Lakers for draft picks in a sign-and-trade. Number six is well within reach for Kobe. Only one who can f*** this up this Kobe himself.

  9. I want this team to start winning just so some of the f***ing idiots around here can vanish.
  10. Oh really. You ever tried to catch a high-flying baseball with the sun in your eyes? Not as easy as it looks, champ.
  11. That's a bad comparison. Neither is a good defender, but that's where the similarities end. Sullinger has the best offensive post game of anyone in the past two draft classes, and is a rock solid rebounder. Davis can't rebound to save his life and has zero post game. The only useful thing he ever did was hit the occasional 15 footer. Melo is another Kendrick Perkins if he pans out. Good defense, passable on the boards, no offensive game to speak of.
  12. Use this thread to discuss the C's for the upcoming 2012-13 season. Rundown of moves so far this summer: June 28th: Celtics draft Jared Sullinger, Fab Melo, and Kris Joseph with #21, #22, and #51 picks respectively. June 30th: Celtics agree to re-sign Kevin Garnett to 3 year, $34 million deal. July 3rd: Celtics and ex-Mav Jason Terry agree to 3 year, $15 million contract. Brandon Bass and Ray Allen are still free agents. The former wants to return, Ray may have his eyes on Miami. Trades and free agent signings won't become official until July 11th.
  13. Perry Jones falls to the Thunder. Sam Presti is laughing at the NBA right now.
  14. They do. I don't care for that. Going into tonight I would've been fine with Melo at 22, but with Moultrie still on the board, ehhhh.
  15. Want me to spoil the suspense?
  16. Sullinger and Arnett Moultrie would be cool. Don't take Sullinger and Perry, too much risk between the two of them.
  17. If we do take Sullinger, it won't be with 21. They'll save him for 22.
  18. Quincy Miller, Arnett Moultrie, Perry Jones, and Sullinger will all be on the board for the Celtics. I doubt Danny can f*** this up.
  19. Cavs had a chance coming into tonight to really set themselves up well for the future, and instead they completely bomb it. Waiters at 4 is blasphemous, and on top of it they trade 3 picks (24, 33, 34) for Tyler Zeller. Horrible.
  20. They should let Gordon walk. Paying him max money or anything close would be a mistake.
  21. Drummond's going to fall to Detroit. Huge for them.
  22. Cleveland takes f***ing Dion Waiters fourth.
  23. Hornets take Anthony Davis Bobcats take MKG (trade bait) Wizards take Beal Both of the Cavs top targets are gone. Barnes now?
  24. This has nothing to do with Austin's talent. He's good, but hardly a can't miss prospect. It's just not a good idea for a father to be coaching a son at this level. Too much potential for it to turn into a dicey situation, and it screams conflict of interest. The coach could be accused of favoritism, the player could be uncomfortable or just rest on his laurels, who knows what else. What happens if Austin gets traded? It's just messy. I doubt either Doc or Austin wants it either, especially Austin. He doesn't want to be coached by his daddy in the NBA.
