I know he has/had some hamstring issues the last 2 weeks but it hasn't seemed to stop him from producing. He just rushed for what..80 yards and scored 2 touchdowns? And that's while he isn't 100%.

Gom- Great post. Thank you for sharing your memories with us. I hope you had a wonderful time last night. On another note, some people's posts on this thread were more offensive than the dead bodies I sometimes encounter at work. Pathetic.

Sorry, but I think that any fan of baseball in general has to have some level of appreciation for Yankee Stadium and the events that went on there last night as well as the last 85 years. Sure, it is just a building, and sure, the new stadium will be wonderful. But it won't be the same. Last night, the last chapter of that book was written and the book closed. I don't care who you are or what team you are a fan of but last night was a special night for all baseball fans, no matter what team you root for. And I am going out on a limb here, but I can't see how any fan of baseball couldn't appreciate what happened last night. Just try to put the shoe on the other foot for a sec....the responses ,no doubt ,would be different if we were talking about Fenway.
