My 2 cents. Yankess giving up Hughes and Kennedy for Santana is a better outcome than Sox getting Santana for any advertised package.

I am guessing Cash might be able to run better than Belli - though chances of any one of them getting on base is remote.

I do think that the fans here are over valuing Coco because he had a career defensive year. Don't get me wrong - as a sox fan - I would love to get the world for him. Reality is even after all the big name CF's (Hunter, Jones, Rowand) signed - there is not much demand for Coco. I am afraid( hope I am wrong) - we are not gonna get much for him - if any. I am fine with him being 4th outfielder( if no Santana trade or we do not get enough for him) - but I think he will start bitching about that scenario.

I have run out of trade ideas then - but I would like to have O'Cab back.

One of Crunchies best post....As a minority(Indian) who has lived in this country for more than 10 years and have embraced the American culture and values and love this country to death - it is naive to think that racism is dead. Yeah - there may not be any segregation lawsany more - but it does exist in people's heart that no law can reach. Also- if you are not a minority ( white in this case or black if you are in Zimbabawe) - it is absolutely impossible for you to even understand the racism. You at work or your kids at school have never been adversely affected - how would you know - so just keep your racism opinion to yourself and don't air it out. Your promotion or your kids grades have never suffered just because who you are or where you come from. That said - I am all against bitching about racism. It exist and it will exist and the minority will just have to deal with it. They will have to work extra hard to overcome the hurdles put together and win over the majority people - not confront them. Sharpton and Jackson's of this country are not there to solve the minority problem - they are there for personal benifits.

Agree with everything. That said - I don't want the Theo to tell the twins that he is not interested. That might give an opportunity to the Yankees to low-ball the twins to get Santana. So far - Theo has done a great job in this negotiation and made Hank look stupid. He just needs to continue whatever he is doing.

Unfortunately no IMO. I know that twins have a cheap owner - and it's hard for them to go to the world series with that offense. But I will take Becket over Santana any day just because Becket has shown that he can do it all twice so far - I understand thought it's not Santana's fault that he has not been able to do much in post-season.

Someone might have done that trade when Becket was in Florida. Bottom-line- Santana has not won a world series game yet.

There have been several news that the Yankees are back on hunt after expired self imposed deadline. They are still not giving up Kennedy and Hughes - so far that's what is holding the deal.
