I think Keilty's contribution is overlooked in world series victory. His home run sealed the deal in game 4. If Rockies win that game - they could have staged a comeback as our bullpen was already taxed. Contribution from our other bench guys for post season(Hinske, Cora et all) - zero. You can argue Coco's contribution was negative as he could not get bunt down. Good signing.

Cora's the man? May be in some parallal world he is winning MVP award - not here. I do not want anything bad happen to him personally and certainly don't hate him - but I think big reason of our last years post season success is starters were healthy - so no Hinske or Cora on the field. Let's just keep it that way.

I think Yankee stadium is absolutely safe for a Red Sox fan. I have been there number of times( I live in NY) wearing my hat and jersey - and apart from occasional boo's - it has been all good fun. You will see lots of Red Sox fans in the seat with their kids - no problems what so ever. On the other hand - I have heard bad things from Yankee fans who have been to Fenway - no idea if it's true. Edit - And no - I am not scaring Gom to give his tickets away and not exchange against Fenway tickets.

How about keeping him in jail till the baseball season(hopefully postseason also ) is over so he never sees Fenway park.

I agree with you to some extent. I don't give a rat's ass about Lester if I get a Santana. And unlike most Sox fan who are high on Coco - I think he is at best a late innings replacement. I would have been more concerned about loosing Lowrie( hopefully he kicks Lugo in the ass) or Masterson. But I would have pulled the trigger with the Lester package. But no way it is as bad as Cashman's f***-up. He needed Santana in front of those kids and getting Santana without giving up Hughes or Joba is such a no brainer.

Cashman loves the kids - and no it is not like Rep. Mark Foley loves the kids. I believe report says it included another prospect so it depends who that prospect is. Even if it is Austin Jackson - he should have pulled the triggar.

If Crisp is not traded/ we acquire Nixon - that should give Tito a lot of flexibility to reduce injury risk to Manny and Nancy.

A little observation YMMV. Talked with lot of Yankee and Sox fans today. The Yankee fans are all saying victory for sox, Yanks and Mets. The Red Sox fans(including me) saying it sucks for the Yankees that they could not get it done as they have much better prospects to offer than the Mets. I checked the Yankee board - they seem to be deeply divided. Two opinions - we love our kids or we f***ed up.

I heard on radio it is 5 years $100 million - if that's the case - I don't think Mets are shredding lot of cash. I have no clue why the twins did not accept the yanks or sox offer at gm meeting that was way better. I won't be surprised if the twins GM is publicly executed in Metrodome by the fans if none of the prospects pan out and Hughes/ Ellsbury/Lester/Santana turns out to be big.

I think this is the same guy who is saying Santana trade will happen soon since last 2 months - so take it with as much grain of salt as you want.
