    Hank reminds me of Mark Cuban - and he has been outrageously funny so far, But in spite of all the fun people have made out of him - you gotta tip your hat that he was right about Hughes and Kennedy unlike people who really knows Yankee baseball . e.g. Cashman and Jacko.

    Absolutely. As much s*** the bullpen takes ( sometimes quite justified) - they are servicable at this point IMO.

    OK - thanks BSN. I will add as of today to this thread because the game thread gets locked. Home - Runs 6.0 tied second with Tigers. Cubs first with 6.3. Hits 10.0 4th tied with Tigers again. Atlanta first with 10.5. HR - 0.9 16th. Phillie is top with 1.6. RBI - 3rd at 5.5 tied with Arizona and Texas. Cubs first with 5.9. LOB - 21st with 7.3. GIDP - 29th with 1.3 Road - Runs 18th with 4.1 Marlins first with 5.5. Hits - Tied 6th with 9.3 with SFO. Marlins first with 9.9 Home runs - 1.1 tied for 5th . First is Florida at 1.7. RBI - 18th with 4.0. Florida 1st with 5.3. LOB - 22nd at 7.6 . GIDP - 28th with 1.2 My take - with LOB and GIDP - we are bad on both home and away. The runs and RBI dropped significantly on road - even though hits are almost the same. They homered more on the road - which is weird.

    Kennedy has some injury that I can't pronounce. The Yankee FO has been really creative in DL'ing the young phenoms.

    The bridge to Mo looks very fragile now. I do not know if this will work out for them and may very well be a panic move. But because Joba has been so successful in the 8th innings (well not so much of late) - does not mean he will be a great starting pitcher.

    I think at the start of the season Manny said he would hit for Papi if needed when Ortiz was going thru that bad slump. May be Ortiz can say the same about Manny now? It will be nice if they both hit at the same time for a change. And - $20 million option will be an interesting discussion throughout the season.

    Agreed. I was not talking about tonight - but if Colon goes only 5 for the whole time he is in rotation that is a problem.

    Rasner reminds me so much of Kennedy and the success he had last year. Average stuff- depends on location - ML hitters generally catch up to that. The probability that a pitcher of that kind eventually becomes someone like Greg Maddux is pretty low.
