Schill was on, topped out at 95 and had a very tight splitter going. He probably could have pitched the whole game if not for the pitch count.
  2. Maybe they should get Hogan to buy the team and fill it with steroid using wrestlers, I mean it can't get much worse than it is right now for them. I say the Sox unload 28 runs on them over the 3 games.
  3. Looks like Manny's started to care after the ASG. The man is an enigma, I swear, but when he decides to try hard, he's still one of the most feared hitters in the game. Let's hope he continues to rip apart the D-Rays.
  4. Go for the start of a sweep tonight! Seriously, if the Yankees can pound them for like a million runs in a 4-game series, the Sox shouldn't do much worse. BTW, good DMB song.
  5. I almost feel bad for their pitching staff, it gets worked so much every game. Maybe expansion wasn't such a good idea there, Mr. Selig.
  6. I know that, but since he accepted the DFA, there isn't much the Sox can do with him except maximize his arm. Perhaps someone this offseason will see him as a viable starter/long relief guy or something, or maybe he can be packaged for another arm at the deadline.
  7. Schill's the kind of guy who is love me, hate me, but don't ignore me. His personality demands that he be in the spotlight even if he has no bearing on the situation at hand, that's just who he is. I think it's pretty refreshing myself, only because he usually makes me laugh with some of the asinine comments he makes. Long live Curt!
  8. Joel started Wednesday night here in Toledo and looked very good. It is a shame that injuries have hindered his season, but he just really didn't seem to fit in well with the bullpen. Hopefully after this year, he'll find a good home.
  9. They were also talking tonight on ESPN about how he may yet be indicted on more charges once the Feds completely finish things up. He's heading towards a very tumultuous time in his life right now, and I think he was pretty stupid to not try an early plea bargain to lessen a sentence he'll more than likely receive.
  10. Igawa's been really shaky since his stint with Scranton. I've never seen a guy elevate a changeup like he does, he needs to harness that or he'll have more repeat outings like most of the year have gone.
  11. Wow, talk about a softball game score, sheesh. Good to see bats wake up after getting shut out last night, seemed fitting for this game to be high scoring with the tight first three games. Great series win!
  12. Man...what a dandy of a series this has been so far. Hopefully Beckett's bad Cleveland mojo stays away from him tonight. Also, welcome back Papi (hopefully?)!
  13. Great game, a much needed effort from Dice-K and some ugly hits are just what the doctor ordered tonight. Beckett tomorrow, make it 3 for 3 so I can rest knowing there won't be a split.
  14. First post ever here, great site. Went to the game last night, amazing to see Lester in person and to see the guys give him that nice lead early on. There were easily more Boston fans than Cleveland fans there last night, and many Clevelanders were pretty embarassed that the city doesn't support a team that's in the wild card lead and only two back of the Tigers. This should be a dandy of a series, these are two very good ball clubs and these next three games should be very exciting.
