  1. I don't care how silly Lester made them look, I hate facing this lineup. It's like an AL team.
  2. WOW I thought that was gone
  3. Way to come back and get him. That would've been bad had he walked Ruiz.
  4. Um, even with our filthy 'pen, I don't exactly feel comfortable with a 1 run lead here. But I have a solution: more runs
  5. The New York Yankees, with a payroll of $200+M... throwing out guys like Tomko, Aceves, etc to get big outs in big games. Good times!
  6. Heh. I hope he took 2 minutes trotting around the bases.
  7. lol, and they really made him earn it too
  8. 95 He's good for another 1, maybe 2 if it's a quick inning.
  9. Ok. Seriously. This is Joe Blanton. We should have more than 2 runs here guys...
  10. Sit down, Howard. Lester with 9 K thru 6. Impressive. He's nearing 100 on the year.
  11. Wow I almost completely forgot about Game 7 being on tonight. I'll have to flip back and forth when the Sox are on commercial. Go Pens.
  12. Lester = sick Copyright: DipreG
  13. Yeah, out since May 26 I believe. In that case you go with Jeter, but Bartlett actually has better stats despite missing all this time.
  14. Yeah I'm pretty sure he did. Today was even more hilarious with Bradley considering the Cubs fans were already on his back after totally losing a ball in the sun a few innings earlier.
  15. DipreG = consistent with the = sign
  16. JDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Hahahaha suck it Philly
  17. SP - Roy Halladay C - Joe Mauer 1B - Justin Morneau 2B - Ian Kinsler 3B - Evan Longoria SS - Jason Bartlett OF - Jason Bay OF - Nelson Cruz OF - Carl Crawford That'd be my starting nine.
  18. When you think about how magnified every Red Sox/Yankees game is - how much effort is put into those games and that they simply mean more than the others, as well as how close they tend to be, winning 8 straight vs NYY is more impressive to me. It hasn't happened since 1912, and it likely won't happen again for a very long time (either way). When we play the Yankees (regardless of the venue) I never expect a sweep either way if that tells you anything. I mean, we could play the Pirates 8 times and probably lose 1 or 2 in between. All in all this has been a remarkable streak.
