  1. Man...its not loooking good with Tavarez
  2. Gift wrapped win? It should be, but JT is on the mound for us! This should be the pitching matchup of the century!
  3. The truth hurts! That article was well written!
  4. Great game last night! Let's get a win tonight JT
  5. Yeah Moss maybe a dickhead, but so isn't T.O. Neither of them have won a super bowl! But I really have to give Moss the benefit of the doubt here! He really wants to be on this team, the reason Oakland dumped him off was I feel because of the contract, that and they are rebuilding that franchise. You would think rebuilding around Moss is a good idea, but you need a solid QB for a good franchise! The raiders are a long way off from winning and Super Bowls and Moss knew that!
  6. This is a hard one: I liked Nixon his gritty style of play reminded me of an old time ballplayer! Drew is a better hitter and can field well too. I think this is a good acquisition for the Sox. I wish Trot all the luck in the world and hope that he does well!

  8. I also just wanted to say that Schilling likes to say whats on his mind and I would agree with him! Truth hurts. I'm by no means a Bonds supporter even when he was in Pittsburgh, never liked the guy! I still think he knew what he was taking when he used the cream and the clear, I dont buy into that story that he unknowingly took steriods! Be a man and own up to what you did!
  9. Tough question: Bonds can hit about any pitch including a Jenny Finch pitch, but I would think that Schill would unintentionally walk him, but if its bases chucked with no outs and a tie game, tito would've already took him out and it would be up to the bullpen not schilling
  10. That is a very valid point. These owners and teams get more money also from all the companies that tattoo the stadiums with their logos and also naming them after them! That maybe off the subject, but if you look at any sport and compare it to an economy of a nation it makes sense with what you say. I would have to say that the NY and NE markets are monopolies. I feel like I made no sense with this post
  11. I would have to agree, We need as much space as possible, but I really think are starting pitching is going to only get better when Lester comes back. I know I'm putting a lot of faith in this kid, but he pitched well pre-cancer! Even though it's early in the season, every game is crucial when you are in the AL East. With the exception of the D-Rays, which can play the spoiler, it's always the toughest division to play in. We'll have to see how this whole season unfolds! Go Sox
  12. Like my hate of the Yankees, you know they're good, but you hate them!
  13. If you want some really good stats go to http://www.mlbpressbook.com
  14. Yeah, Tavarez might be good to come out of the bullpen and to TRY to hold a game, but I say that Okajima and Donnelly and when Timlin returns will still be a whole hell of a lot better than having Tavarez coming out of the bullpen
  15. That was definitely a night that will never be forgotten! My GF was like how does that happen 4 times in a row?
  16. All that needs to be said is that the Pats are going to be very dangerous this year!
  17. One more thing Matt DeSalvo was sensational last night! This kid pitched for Marietta College just a few miles north of where I live. He was good there and I think hes going to have a great Major League career
  18. As we have come to know as Sox fans, you can never count the Yanks out. Sure, they are 6 games out of first and second behind us, but come on its the Yankees, they always figure something out. Look at 2004 We started off with a hot April then played .500 ball for awhile, until the BIG trade then won it all, the Yanks on the other hand started of very slowly and in the end we played each other! You can't count this team out, especially with who they have as a principal owner!
  19. This maybe wishful thinking, but I would like to see Dontrelle Willis pitch for the Sox! Like I said wishful thinking, but I think it would be a great fit. The Sox need a lefty starter, but the Marlins price is probably too high. But this would be nice
  20. John Kruck is my hero! LOL He just said that the Rocket is not enough and that the Sox have better starting pitcher. AMEN
  21. I would have to agree with this, but having the biggest payroll and being in the largest markets doesn't mean you will win championships. The Yanks have won 26 a majority of course before the Steinbrenner era! You can be the best team that money can buy and be an All-Star team and still lose championships. For example 2001 and 2003. They D-Backs and Marlins are part of the 28 teams you were talking about and they showed us all how being a solid team and not just an all-star team how you can beat the unbeatable. Like David and Goliath (sorry for the biblical reference). All I am saying is that the money/ payroll deal just means you have a better chance of getting those big name players, but doesn't mean you will win the WS
  22. I really don't know what to say to all of this! I mean the Rocket landed in NY after receiving a substantial offer from the Sox FO. Once the Yanks get healthy this will become one of those seasons that will be unforgettable! I don't like Tavarez, I think a deal needs to be done, because of the recent events, but then again who would want JT and what would the Sox be willing to give up for an impact bat or pitching! I would like to see Carl Crawford in a Sox uni someday. Maybe this could be something worth while
  23. We all knew this was coming, despite how much we wanted to see him back in a Sox uni! Yes the starting rotation is going to get a huge burst, but the bullpen needs some more help! Come late in the season we'll see what will happen!
  24. I would have to say that Cora is one of the best utility men in the league right now!
