    Definately funnier to see Kobe stand in against Schilling. The only thing that bothers me about this situation is (and I realize what I am about to assume might not be fair to assume but here goes) What would Curt do if the roles were reversed? He would LOSE IT. Not just disapprove, not calmly say, I wish he hadn't blogged about it. He would go nuts and call Kobe out big time if Kobe wrote about him after sitting near the sox dugout. Just being fair, I didn't have a big problem with it overall.

    I think you bring him back. Maybe you visit the possibility that he will sign for less if you refuse to pick up the option.

    Pedroia, easily. He has carried this team for 2 week stretches when almost no one else was hitting. He has had months where he was an MVP candidate. There can be no doubt. I also hope that the voters realize something; A Japanese import of Matsuzaka or Okajima's ages should not be considered if there is a comprable candidate that is younger and homegrown. Akinori Iwamura also should be removed from the discussion. Only in the absence of a player like Pedroia should one of those gentlemen be considered.

    DiNardo is garbage, but they aren't trading him for anything, so he will start on the 25 man roster because they save an option by starting him in the majors this season.

    I think he will start. The Guardians are strongly considering keeping Blake at a corner infield position. I also think that they want to give him a shot at that 2004 type of year when he plays almost full time. They would be well served to keep whoever their next option is (probably Delucci) on the bench, because a healthy Nixon would be better. Delucci would also end up getting plenty of at-bats because we all know that a healthy Nixon is an oxymoron.
