    Crisp is to much of a swinger and doesn't have the patience for a #2 hitter in the sox lineup.Youk is much better equiped to hit # 2 , and Crisp would be perfect as the # 8 hitter.

    If the sox make a bid at Clemens and land him, which I don't see happening, then paps will be back as closer. I think by seasons start Papelbon will be the 4th starter. But who knows.

    I agree one red seat, he may not fair to well in the al but he could be a decent nl 3 or4. He has some value as much as that pisses jacko off. But it won't be much.

    Either Papelbon's gonna be the closer or he won't, you can't just start him at closer and then throw him into the rotation. Unless if they make a trade of some sort, which won't happen, the sox are stuck with what they have in the bullpen, until hopefully they pull a deal at the deadline.

    I understand tthe logic, trying to show the japanese market thier former star, while also trying to make good with japanese relations for future signings. But then I also agree that this could make to a slow start to the begining of the season, possibly putting us behind the eight ball to start the season.
