  1. This is what you said. You didn't simply state the AL has won 60 % of WS. The fact is the AL is on a the upswing when it comes to overall talent. It's only been in the last few years though. 100 games is not really that much when your talking about how many games they have played. Overall talent in the league doesn't lead into WS rings. And the fact is that the Yankees have dominated the AL, without them the AL would look alot weaker.
  2. It looks pretty close to me. Other than the last couple of years. And those AL WS wins are Yankee wins. I wouldn't be so proud of them if I was Sox fan. Don't forget what happened in 02 when the Red Sox went to L.A.
  3. Kobe's making an effort to pass more. Carmelo's numbers will also go down.
  4. He's not better than Kobe.
  5. As for Drew, what's happening with him?
  6. Nice move for Denver. Another team in the West to look out for.
  7. Is the Devil Rays against the Royals any better? Everything runs in cycles and sooner or later the NL will catch up. No the Dodgers would be fighting the Red Sox and the Yankees. Everybody else is weak in the AL East.
  8. You do realise that you can pinch hit for them? It totally changes the strategy of the game. Giving the pitcher an extra inning because he's gonna be up to bat in the next one, walking the #8 hitter to get to the pitcher and see him burn you, taking out the wrong bat in a double switch, there is just so much more strategy. It's a better game and a more exciting one. Plugging in relievers and not having to worry about any lineup changes is not what I consider an exciting game.
  9. I would make a trade for him. You guys have an extra PG and if you get them to take Delonte, Al, Theo, (and maybe a 2008 pick lottery protected if need be), then I see it as a good move The East is wide open. Nobody is especially strong in the East. You guys will win your division with that move and be in the playoffs. Miami might be done depending on Shaq, Detroit doesn't look as strong as before, Cleveland only has Lebron, Chicago is having problems, Orlando looks good but still young, New Jersey looks done, I see it working. I don't think Gasol is overrated at all. He's a soft PF, but even the soft ones are still very effective. Any player that commands doubles and triples in the post is very valuable. Pierce and Gasol would make a very good combo in the weak East.
  10. You guys lucked out. Take this time to either put some very restrictive clauses in his contract or drop him altogethor and look to spend your money in other ways.
  11. 5 in a row is not noise. You guys are sub .500 so winning the division is nothing. What I mean by noise is actually being able to win in the playoffs.
  12. Come on now. Al may be a good player but he is nowhere close to Gasol. Put Gasol with Paul Pierce and you will make some serious noise in the East.
  13. As a fan you should give him benefit of the doubt. I just wouldn't trade away more than capable backups.
  14. I'm not disputing he can put up numbers when healthy. I'm just questioning if he can stay healthy.
  15. The way I read it is that it will help him have a full season.
  16. The rumor is false Jackson. I'm always the one giving it to people not the other way around. But of course you already know that. :wink:wink:
  17. You really only need 2/3 pitches and a strong mentality to be a closer. I'm sure you have one of those in your farm system. I wouldn't trade Coco or Willy Mo for a closer. Half the time you don't know what you're getting anyways. They can loose it just as fast as they found it.
