  1. Drew SHOULD be a solid player, but he isnt performing like one right now. So you are right, right now they're arnt any two solid lefties in a row.
  2. I wouldn't switch a damn thing until we lose 2 in a row. Youk Drew Ortiz Manny Lowell Varitek Lugo Coco Pedrioa/Cora .... interesting except that we will have 2 solid lefties in a row. But like i said before, dont switch a thing until we lose 2 in a row.
  3. This pitching match up would look like a pitchers duel, but not against these offenses. The team that only allows 4-5 runs could be the winner today. I am going to go with the same prediction as yesterday and say the Yankees will win 8-6. [bTW, i have a 4-0 record when predicting against the Red Sox]. I dont see the Yankees losing it's forth consecutive series and its unlikely for them to lose a series at home (despite losing 3, and tieing 2). The difference in this series is that everyone is healthy. Game tied until 8th, 5-5, and Yankees score 3 in 8th, as Sox threaten in 9th and only score one more.
  4. Boston Red Sox (31-14) at New York Yankees (20-24) Pitching Match Up: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/action/ph_121811.jpg vs. http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/images/players/action/ph_120485.jpg Curt Schilling (4-1, 3.57 ERA) vs. Andy Pettite (2-3, 2.83 ERA)
  5. I read you loud and clear.
  6. The only guy on the team that is over acheiving is Wakefeild, but not recently. Manny and Drew are under acheiving though. I dont see how the Sox as a whole are overacheiving.
  7. Pedrioa: I think Pedrios is really coming into his own as of late. He has played spectacular defense and his hitting is coming back to par. This is his combined Statistics in May in 41 ABs. .366 AVG .435 OBP 4 Walks 1 Strikeout 5 Extra Base hits These are the stats that the Red Sox would love to see all year. People shouldn't have much to complain about him now. Lugo: I really do not like him as our leadoff hitter. He may be fast but he has trouble getting on base. He has a low average and he is not clutch. His only memorable clutch moment on the Sox has an error. I do not know why he continues to lead off. Cora/Pedrioa make out to be a better leadoff hitter than Lugo. Wily Mo: I do not know why so many people are against Wily Mo. He is a power hitter, and thats it. He may strike out a lot and have a low average, but he will homer a lot. If you like small ball, than Wily Mo is not your guy, but the Red Sox play aggressive hitting baseball and he fits in perfectly. Have him in the 8 spot all year and he will hit 30-40 HR's a year with 80-100 RBI's. I know he's a back up, but he's a great guy to have in a PH spot with 2 outs, a man on 1st, and down by 2.
  8. We're not as good as our record??? Have you've seen our pitching statistics? Best BP in the League. Lowest Runs Scored Against in the League. 2nd in Runs Scored. Those facts look like they came from a great team.
  9. Yay, I finally made a thread! Well, of course I will make my weekly anti-Tavarez prediction. Tavarez will blow today and ruin my chances of making another thread tomorrow. 8-6 Yankees. Tavarez 4.2IP 7ER 2K 4BB 8H 2HR
  10. Boston Red Sox (30-14) at New York Yankees (20-23) Pitching Match Up: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/action/ph_123118.jpg vs. http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/images/players/action/ph_119608.jpg Julian Tavarez (2-4, 5.59 ERA) vs. Mike Mussina (2-2, 5.64 ERA)
  11. Acually, on this forum I got nailed for spelling incorrectly, now i do the same thing to someone else and this is racist? Damn!
  12. Looks like JT is doing good, 53 to 38 Strike/Ball Ratio.
  13. This thread is pretty dead. Normally by the 5th, there is at least 5 pages.
  14. id go wit dos metrapolitans in game numba 1, and den go wit da yanks in game 2, and expect the mets to win game 3
  15. I got you covered.
  16. ^^^^^^ there he is! BTW, I love the math mojo. The Integrating Batman problem is in my math room.
  17. There are 2 numbers though, unless that is the predicted range; I'll go with that.
  18. Does anyone know how the grading system works on soxprospects.com? Last year was easy because it was either an A, B, or a C, but i dont understand how it works now with the two numbers.
  19. I took the Calculus exam and the European exam. I definently got a 5 on the Calc because im really good at math, despite everyone complaining about how hard it was compared to previous ones. And the Euro one is probably either a 2 or a 3. I'm not too good at history, but I took the class because the teacher is really fun.
  20. I agree that I'd rather see WMP in a bases loaded situation. He's more likely to sac fly than Coco is, and he is more likely to put one over the wall.
  21. It's nice to see that Yankees playing a good team in a while.
  22. I like Adam, he makes me look good.
  23. That's why I love to predict them to lose. So to keep that mojo... Julian will start out good today and than he will have a 5th inning meltdown to cost the Sox the game in a 8-6 defeat. BTW, Schill, i take it you had the AP English 11 Exam. Howd that go.
  24. Im sorry if I have offended you, but believe me I do see a lot of bandwagoners. I can see where your coming form. If the Sabres to play like they did in the regular season, they can make this interesting. you are correct in saying if Buffalo does pull off a win tonight, they will likely win at home to make the series to make it 3-2. But they first have to win tonight. They cant think about future games because there won't be any future games unless they win their next game for the next week.
