  1. I hate it, but I'm get some serious 2006 vibes with this team. They need to make a big move by Friday.
  2. Lol, even a pitch out doesn't work. Ok, is that game yet?
  3. Come on, you know they aren't going to score!
  4. Great, there is the game.
  5. Lol. Just can't make it easy for us.
  6. The idea behind defensive indifference is to allow the pitcher to focus only on the batter and to allow the first baseman to be in a better defensive position. The problem with this is that if it was effective, they wouldn't ever hold on runners. It just isn't very smart.
  7. The A's have 17 f***ing hits. Great pitching, guys. ^This. Defensive indifference is ********.
  8. Blown save. Wow. This is ridiculous.
  9. I'm telling you, this all stems from defensive indifference. That first GB out could have been a DP, then a popout to end the game. I can't stand defensive indifference. Ever run/base counts.
  10. Lol Paps. Game could have been over if it wasn't for defensive indifference. Get this last out, stop screwing around.
  11. I hate defensive indifference. Note: that could have possibly been a double play if we kept the runner at 1st.
  12. I'm not suggesting they trade him right now. I think the only reasonable way he gets traded is if he comes back strong at the end of the year. Then there may be some interest in him during the off season. I don't think he gets traded, but that doesn't mean the Sox would refuse to trade him.
  13. I'm not suggesting we should get rid of Dice-K, I'm just stating that he isn't untouchable. Also, Dice-K isn't exactly the best comparison to Pedro, Clemens, etc. Those guys were the very best pitchers in baseball (history) and didn't have performance problems while with us. Dice-K is having some serious problems with his shoulder/attitude. Even when he dominated, he was still only going 5 or 6 innings. I'm not saying he isn't going to have a good future ahead of him, I'm just saying there have been major bumps in the road.
  14. He is a pain in the ass prima-donna?
  15. Thankfully, just next year. Any reason why Green gets the start over Lowrie tonight?
  16. Would it be possible to just swap Scutaro and Lowrie (or add another B prospect), or would we not want him?
  17. Please please please please please please please. I want Halladay.
  18. The Guardians are busy: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090727&content_id=6094362&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb
  19. They were just saying "YOOOUUUKKKK", it's his nickname.
  20. Not responsibility, but body maintenance. Also, I think it's a little bit past the "young jocks who didn't know better". It's been widely known for at least 20 years that tobacco is horrible for your body. It's just completely counterproductive for an athlete. I have the same view for musicians as well. I will never understand why a singer or horn player would smoke. Your instrument/money maker is your voice and you are directly destroying it through your habit. Maybe I'm just different, but since I was young, I also thought taking drugs was pretty stupid. It's expensive, it's horrible for you, it often makes you act like an idiot/look like an idiot, and worst of all, you are supporting companies that are RAPING you. Tobacco companies purposely try to get people hooked on poison so they can get filthy rich. I don't want to be one of the suckers they are stealing from.
