  1. Actually, it looks like Crisp may have very well been safe...
  2. Come on Cora, it's too early to be bunting. Pull back that bat and swing for the gaps. Damn it Crisp.
  3. Am I the only one who thinks that they should put Lowell in the 4 spot when Manny has a day off and in the 5 spot when Drew has a day off, insteady of moving Youk? Lowell this year, and through his career, has been much more of a power and RBI guy than Youk (I know Youk hasn't played much). I mean, Lowell has 4 HR and 21RBI and has been hot. Youk simply hasn't been that productive. He's great at getting on base, but I'd much rather that type of guy staying in the 2 spot and putting a more productive guy, like Lowell, in the 4 or 5 spot.
  4. I hope the sox offense kick him out in the first.
  5. I do, but I don't like the idea of playing out of your own Market. They will sell out at Yankee stadium or Fenway too. I don't like the idea of them taking risk. There's a lot that can go wrong. Jetlag, injury, illness, etc etc. Don't mess with it. If Japanese fans really want to see some American baseball, or just Yankees-Redsox, they can watch mlb.tv or take a trip to the US. I also hate the idea of doing this in Football.
  6. hmmm. Julian Tavarez, Mike Lowell, and Manny Delcarmen for Todd Helton, with the Rockies eating a portion of the contract? Mike Lowell had a good season last year with 20HR and 80RBI, and hes off to a great start this year, so I'm not sure I would go through with a trade as above. I don't think there would be anywhere to put Helton with Lowell playing and great and Youk. I don't know whether we could actually get any good value from Tavarez. He should be solid in a great bullpen thus far, and I can't imagine getting something back that would make an impact if we trade him. Interesting though. But I don't like trading pitching, we all know what happened last year.
  7. This is a bad idea. Its a US market. These are the 2 biggest market baseball teams in America. They are the hardest games to get too. So you want to take a Sox-Yanks series over sea? Horrible idea. They know they will sell out if they play at Fenway or Yankee stadium, so why risk going over to Japan and taking risks you don't need to take. I agree that if they really wanted to explore the Japanese market, make an exibition game over there in the middle of January, or sometime that doest impeed the regular season or spring training. We all saw what happened to the guys who were in the baseball classic last year. They all had horrid starts to their season because of the timing. I bet the Yankees are going to shoot this proposal down.
  8. Ya, but Papi will get him next time. Nice inning for Tavarez.
  9. Bases loaded, come on Lowell, give us some runs early!
  10. 6-0 Yankees now. Jeff Weaver is the worst pitcher ever.
  11. Jeff Weaver is the worst pitcher. No way he last past the 4th, even though I hope he does shut down the Yankees.
  12. f*** an AL leading, Sox have an MLB leading 19-9 record. We could have a very special season. Lester isn't even on the staff yet, Drew is in a funk, Manny is just starting to get hot, Matsuzaka has had some rough outings, and Pedroia has yet to hit. And we have the best record in baseball. This could be a very exciting season. Now, to tomorrow boys. Tough game for Tavarez, but he can do it!
  13. Id like to see Donnelly right now.
  14. R they not going to use Paps tonight? I'm seeing Donnelly warming up, but not Paps.
  15. Did any of you guys see the 2 dudes dressed up as the Alien from the movie Alien? Creapy, and what is the point... at a baseball game?
