  1. Kearns puts the game away. 9-4
  2. Beltre really presses with the bags packed
  3. Joba has done a pretty good job of finding the bats this yr, until lately that is
  4. He's on a 2 yr deal right now, this is yr 1 of that deal.
  5. He's missing bats as well as the strike zone. I dont remember him cutting and running his FB, but he did it pretty well in that last AB
  6. This Yankee bullpen has been dominant of late. Good timing, especially with Kerry Wood looking as good as he has.
  7. Exactly. I have always lived with Jorge's defensive shortcomings because his offense makes up for it. But his pitch selection has been more abysmal this season than usual
  8. I dont get it. He's absolutely beating Jackson with the FB then goes to the curve
  9. Yeah, the pattern is that we'll just continue winning and you can continue sitting many games back
  10. He hung one slider that inning which he paid for. Otherwise, his velocity was down, but his location was very good
  11. Adam Warren has throwing 7 shutout innings, striking out 15 hitters. Man, he's really elevated his game this yr
  12. Lackey drops a deficit and probably 4 innings of pen work on the sox in a pretty important game
  13. Long fixed Grandy's swing and it's showing. If he keeps showing up like this, we're gonna be really, really happy
  14. That's stretching it a bit, since Lee missed a month and goes longer into games and allows fewer runs than Lackey
  15. Lee missed a month of the season
  16. Almost all of that WHIP and ERA is from his last start. Prior to the homer from Kelly, he'd been pitching pretty well.
  17. and Don Kelly makes me eat my words. 6-4, f***
  18. The sox got incredibly lucky on their short term pickups this offseason. Hall, McDonald and Beltre are all heading out of the Beanpot for starting gigs next yr, IMO. McDonald hits enough to start in CF for a team and Hall is hitting like he's back in Milwaukee
  19. Dustin Moseley has been a breath of fresh air for this rotation. Really reminds me of Aaron Small from 2005. 88-90mph, nothing straight and he's locating better than he ever has in his career.
  20. And the .340OBP is not bad for someone who is slumping.
  21. Gardner needs to stay at the top of the order. He's a f***ing sparkplug
  22. He's allowed 6 hits in 3.2IP, his release point is just a piece of his problems.
  23. At this pace, you're gonna need at least 3 innings from your pen
  24. He had elbow surgery prior to 2009 and has been lost ever since.
