  1. Our savior, Colin Curtis, getting big at bats. He cannot hit a change. f***
  2. Stop giving Austin Kearns playing time. He is a 4th OFer, not a starter. I'd almost rather have Thames in there
  3. The pitcher in game 2 is going to throw more than the others. CC is gonna go in games 1, 4, and 7. Our #2 guy is probably throwing in game 6. I'll take the better pitcher over the R-L matchup
  4. But he's your plan B for next yr
  5. Ethier OPS... 2006- .842 2007- .802 2008- .885 2009- .869 2010- .842. And in fairness to Ethier, he was well into the .900s this yr until he got injured. Regardless, he's a mid .800s OPS hitter with 30 homerun power who has taken a step forward over the last 3 seasons. He's also 28 yrs old, entering his prime.
  6. Hughes looking really good right now. All he had to do was show the change and it makes the fastball that much more explosive
  7. We'll see. Not sure what we're gonna do in the 3 and 4 holes. I think Hughes has locked up a spot
  8. Lowrie has played in 40 games this yr. Ethier is a full time player and has been for 3 yrs. Big difference
  9. I think you have to go with CC and Pettitte
  10. YS, I think you've lost your mind man.
  11. Not a bad move going for 2. Good play from Joyce
  12. good inning from Hughes, threw the change a few times and it looked pretty good
  13. It was actually Berkman, and he looked pretty safe to me
  14. 1-0 Yankees, sacks packed for Posada
  15. Exactly. Sabathia neutralizes anything thrown against us. Pettitte is a big wild card and the next 2 guys are definitely concerns at this point. Regardless, against our healthy lineup, we can neutralize any pitcher aside from the elites like Price and Lee
  16. Cameron is going to be 38 and is coming off a lost yr due to injury. You have no idea what you will get out of Cameron next yr. Ethier gives you middle of the order type production
  17. Ethier would be a massive upgrade in LF for the sox. A massive upgrade
  18. The Tampa Yankees won the FSL this yr for the second yr in a row. The first time a repeat has been done in the FSL since 75-76. Bradley Suttle really came on as the season went along and has seated himself firmly back into the prospect seat.
  19. there will be no sweating. The sox are done
  20. The Yanks made the right decision letting go of Torre. I supported Girardi getting hired, but I thought he would actually be more of a tactitian who has a f***ing sense of urgency. But instead, we have this braced fool who looks like a 2 yr old in the dugout and manages like he's trying to win a f***ing popularity contest in the clubhouse
  21. WHy must we always gets these dumbass jamokes who make the worst f***ing decisions of all time? I hope he goes to the Cubs. His mismanagement would bring the entire city's suicide rate up 20%
