  1. Also, Manuel f***ed his team in the ass twice over by not going to Halladay tonight. Halladay wins this ballgame and takes back home field.
  2. Giants up 3-1 with Lincecum, Sanchez, and Cain waiting. I think the Phillies might be done
  3. Mussina had an ERA of 4.59 in 160IP in 2004. Jon Lieber had an ERA of 4.33 in 176.2IP in 2004. Brown threw only 132IP in 2004, but had a team low ERA of 4.09 El Duque only threw 82IP prior to the playoffs in 2004. That is a s*** rotation. Don't deny it. Pedro and Schilling crushed the above numbers. Arroyo would have been the best statistical pitcher on the 2004 Yanks. And Lowe had a s*** season, worse than everyone. On paper, the rotation was WORLDS better. There is no discussion there.
  4. The sox pitching was world's better. For some reason, your offense waited until the 9th inning of game 4 to arrive. Regardless, being down 3-0, not having won anything in 86 yrs and facing the most storied franchise in sports is the best comeback. Unless we go down 0-3 and come back from a double digit deficit, we'll never match that
  5. http://blogs.forbes.com/sportsmoney/2010/10/19/cliff-lee-dominances-may-yield-near-200-million-over-six-years/ Not a bad read, estimating that Lee could garner over $200 million over 6 seasons in salary and endorsements, especially if he goes to a big market club
  6. Great win tonight. Go back to Arlington and make this interesting. Finally put an entire game together.
  7. Its too bad this ump isnt behind the plate for a potential game 7. He doesnt give the corners and he doesnt give the low strike. He might be the only person who can neutralize Lee
  8. Incredible. The day he hangs em up, they should retire his number and not wait 2-3 yrs like they do with everyone. He's one of the best pitchers of all time.
  9. did you see that stat? 1ER in Mariano's last 42.2IP at home in the postseason? Thats insane
  10. Wood was incredible. Now up 5, Mo coming in for the 9th, book those flights back to Arlington!
  11. Well, Swish hit the ball hard there, but didnt find a hole. I do agree though, Jeter should have been running
  12. Swisher 0 for 24 with RISP in his playoff career. Wow. Talk about not sacking up
  13. All of them are big. Gotta play situational ball here
  14. Gardner needs to learn how to sacrifice bunt. Christ, he is trying to bunt for a hit every time. We needed a sac there instead of the hit. Now is the time to add on 1 at a time until it is way out of reach
  15. Gritty performance from CC tonight. 4 run lead with Wood coming in. Feeling good about this one
  16. 2 missed calls in this AB alone
  17. Get him outta there!
  18. And ARod dove past it.
  19. CC shouldnt go into the 7th. 88 pitches into the 6th and he has been walking the tightrope all night. Sometimes you take your winnings and move on
  20. I wouldnt go that far. I hate the sox, but 2004 was the greatest comeback of all time and it will be difficult to duplicate
  21. Game 7's are always all hands on deck and are much less predictable. Granted, Lee is the best playoff pitcher of the last 2 yrs and is more of a sure thing than anyone else. We gotta get there first. Close out tonight and go to Arlington
  22. See, the crazy thing is, this team is capable of doing this to any pitcher. We just havent in this series sans one f***ing inning until today.
