  1. You'll probably get it here. ARod has been in a funk since he hit the granny in Baltimore
  2. Tex struggling again. Cmon ARod.
  3. Tex has been struggling of late. Would be huge if he could do something
  4. Good AB from Grandy man there
  5. Beckett's curve has some serious bite today.
  6. Jeter got another hit. He was 2 for 15 coming into this game after going 13 for his prior 32.
  7. Gary Sanchez starting to heat up. 4 for his last 7, with 3 doubles and a HR. It's his first season in long season and he is only 18
  8. Frustrating. He throws two solid pitches to Ellsbury then hits him. He then gets a ball off the end of the bat from Pedroia that falls in. His FB command is still a little off, I agree there
  9. Montero needs to get his power going. Thus far this yr, he's hitting .330 but he only had 6 doubles and 2HR. And his walks are down. He's 21, I'd wait until he's swinging it like he knows how. He started off slowly last yr on all fronts, so this is an improvement. Also, I think Vazquez has earned a shot at the DH spot. He hit moonshots in spring training, then he went to AAA and has crushed the ball there as well. The guy needs a shot even if it is only as a platoon man. If he fails, then bring up Montero in July
  10. Really? Really? The Yankee fans are bad? The sox fans have shirts that say Jeter sucks A-Rod. Nobody is innocent here
  11. Starting Andruw Jones? Really? Why the f*** dont we have a better option vs right handers on the bench.
  12. OPS right around .600, BA right around .150 and hasnt hit a homer in 14 games. We got by when he was hitting .170 but had 6 homers. Who would have thought he would have gotten worse from there. He's hitting 9th tonight and should be replaced at DH once Chavez comes back. I'd actually bring up Jorge Vazquez, a guy who was signed out of Mexico at the age of 25, and all he has done is rake. He hit 2 more homers today and has 14 on the season with an OPS approaching .950. He's right handed, he has a ton of power and he couldnt be any worse than Posada. If the Chavez-Vazquez platoon flops, then you bring up Montero
  13. It was a poor decision from a kid with injury issues. The only thing I can imagine is that he either has a history with the catcher or the catcher was saying something during the AB. He's a tough SOB, but he needs to keep in mind that attacking the catcher like that will get him suspended for a long period of time and the ensuing melee could have gotten him hurt.
  14. Brentz is killing it, time for a promotion
  15. Beckett and Lester have been money thus far. DiceK is as expected. Lackey has completely imploded and Buchholz has still gotten lucky. His 4.19ERA with a 1.63WHIP is still pretty good. Most guys who approach the 1.6WHIP area have ERA's in the mid 5's. Although, like I said in the pre-season, Buchholz was due for a regression. His K/9 is down by 1, his BB/9IP is up by 1, he's given up 6HR already, and his BAA is up 63 points. And his BABIP is right around league average at .302, so this isnt being unlucky here. The big problem is the pen and the fact that Tito cannot seem to figure out when he's gotten a bit lucky in leaving a pitcher out there past their effectiveness. You bring in 2 guys to be the bridge who have imploded in Wheeler and Jenks and now get to try out new guys like Albers, Aceves and Hill. Regardless, the sox offense has started hitting, and the pitching will sort itself out. They are still a 90+ win team in my book
  16. Sanit is a throwaway guy. I dont think they want to use up options on some of their better pitchers, so they brought him up.
  17. We played like dogshit, good thing I was working for most of it. Rough inning with 2 errors and a passed ball mixed in with an off day from Nova really sealed that one. It's funny how we played a solid game in game 1, give one away in game 2 and get blown out in game 3. This team needs to play better on all sides of the ball. The offense isnt clicking, the defense has been abysmal and the relief pitching needs to be a bit more clutch.
  18. Lester was the goat, although Albers walking Davis then letting him get 2 ridiculous jumps didn't help.
  19. Soriano to get MRI of sore elbow tomorrow. Great, this signing is looking better and better
  20. Born to Run did ask if I could get any more annoying. Just wanted to show him that I can. G'night y'all...
  21. steal of 2nd and 3rd? That's on Albers, VTek had no chance
